Planning an illustration is one of the things I enjoy the most, sometimes I am so inspired that I am fascinated with the result I get simply by doing the sketch. So much that sometimes I don't feel like putting color on them because I like them better that way that I don't want to ruin the sketch. Although I have to confess that I still take the risk and add color on them.

To illustrate this example I will use this sketch I made and that is not the case of the one I was talking about that I like the sketches more 😁 in this case if I wanted to put color on it. As you can see it is a very sloppy and scratchy line. I could have defined it more but I was anxious to put color on it.

The sketch was like this. It doesn't matter how your sketch is, as long as you understand it and know how to work on it to make it look great, no one can tell you that you are doing it wrong, since it is everyone's process.

Planear una ilustración es de las cosas que más disfruto hacer, a veces estoy tan inspirada que me quedo fascinada con el resultado que obtengo simplemente al hacer el  boceto. Tanto así que muchas veces no me dan ganas de ponerles color porque podría lo bien que se veía como boceto. Aunque les he de confesar que a veces tomo el riesgo y les pongo color.

Para ilustrar este ejemplo usaré este boceto que hice y que no es el caso del que hablaba sobre que me gustan más los bocetos 😁 en este caso si quería ponerle color. Como pueden ver es un trazo muy descuidado y rayoneado. Pude haberlo definido más pero estaba ansiosa por ponerle color.

El boceto quedo así. No importa como sea tu boceto, mientras tú le entiendas y lo sepas trabajar para que quede genial, nadie te puede decir que lo estás haciendo mal, ya que es el proceso de cada quien.

It was quite entertaining and although I did not love the result, I confess that I already notice an improvement compared to others I have done. Now that I think about it, it would be great to make a compilation of illustrations that I have done that are more realistic or with more volume 😍

This was the result, I hope you like it, in this illustration my main goal was the face, I wanted it to look better with volume and detail.

Fue bastante entretenido y aunque el resultado no me encantó, les confieso que ya noto una mejoría en comparación a otros que he hecho. Ahora que lo pienso sería genial hacer un compilado de ilustraciones que he hecho que son más realistas o con más volumen 😍

Este fue el resultado, espero les guste, en esta ilustración mi objetivo principal fue la cara, quería que se viera con mejor volumen y detalle.
