Recently I stumbled upon an article which stated that with MetaMask you now can directly swap tokens. Here is the Article that I'm talking about. Reading further the news this **DeFi** product on MetaMask is currently available on the Mozilla/Firefox browser. I'm not that big fan of Mozilla so frankly speaking I did not try this feature out of swaping tokens via the MetaMask to get the best price. 

### DEXes & DEX Aggregator

So what MetaMask is doing here is that its acting as an aggregator and providing the user with the best price for the token **Swap**. We can think of it as a backend functionality were MetaMask queries the various DEXes[decentralized exchanges] like UniSwap, AirSwap,​ and other leading DEXes and DEX aggregators. And then showcases the users with the best available price for the swap.  

So what happens is that user need not visit the other Dexes for the token swap and here itself on MetaMask can initiate the swap of the token without leaving the MetaMask Wallet.

As per the article::
> MetaMask, which has an active userbase with 1 million users each month, provides a gateway to the Ethereum blockchain and related decentralized applications.

I'll speak for myself and when I'm looking for a token swap or buying new tokens I prefer UniSwap. So basically **UniSwap** is my go to stop for all the ERC20 token trade. But one thing that is missing here is the aggregation part. What if I could get a good price for the token on a different exchange?  Users always want to get the best deal and that is where the MetaMask DeFi product comes into **PLAY**

In all there are close to 1+ Million user base that actively uses MetaMask. With this new DeFi product or feature on the MetaMask itself, I think users will benefit a lot and when they get an option to choose the best price for token swap why would they leave MetaMask for the token trade and will prefer doing it with MetaMask wallet itself. 


### Imagine MetaMask Token Now

So until now this was all the story associated with the news/buzz that MetaMask has been making around. The main point that I want to put in front was::

What if In Near future we see a New token that is native token for MetaMask. 
They have a good product, 1+Million user base, entered into the DeFi space also. The ground is all set and we could see their token as well that will further benefit its users on the fees, trade, provide discounts on trade etc etc.. So altogether we have a good use case of MetaMask Token in near future.

### Recommendation for AirDrop - Have MetaMask linked to ETH Wallet 

Just a recommendation incase the token comes out and if they plan to do a AirDrop to their active user base. Link your ETH to the MetaMask wallet and initiate some trades, token swap, transfer here and there so that you are eligible for the AirDrop if at all it happens. 

Just remember the UNISwap AirDrop and if the same happens for MetaMask you may not want to regret it later by saying that I didnt use MetaMask.

Have Your Say.. What do you think about the MetaMask token in Near future? I think that it makes a good Business use case to have a MetaMask native token. When all the exchanges can have their token then why not the MetaMask itself.
