At the moment [Runis](https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@splinterlands/runi-is-live-whats-next) are selling cheap on [OpenSea Market.](https://opensea.io/collection/runi?search[sortAscending]=false&search[sortBy]=CREATED_DATE) You can get 1 RUNI for 0.2+ ETH and where as the current minting price is 0.38+ ETH. What would you prefer buying it from the opensea market or minting a new one at a higher cost. No doubt minting could get you a rare RUNI NFT but chances are that you may even get a common one which is available in the market at a cheaper price. Considering all the factors; I decided to buy RUNI from the market as opposed to minting.

### What is Runi?

Runi is an NFT project by splinterlands team on the Ethereum blockchain. The total supply of Runi NFT is capped to 6500 RUNIs will be ever minted, out of which 3092 RUNIs i.e. 47.6% Runis has already been minted. It all started with a price of 0.19 Ethereum [ETH] to mint 1 RUNI for those who got the whitelist spot. Now the minting price is 0.38 ETH for general Public sale and anyone can buy any number of Runi NFT. One other important point to note here is that RUNIs minting ends on **Friday, November 25th**, 2022 and if all 6500 Runi haven't been minted, then the mint will end and any unminted Runi will be lost forever! Which will make RUNI even more scarce. The scare an NFT is the better it get in a longer RUN. So here is your last chance to mint a rare RUNI before 25th November and after that you can only get RUNI from the opensea market. Here is some stats from the OpenSea market around RUNI overall volume, floor price and best offers available and other details. Impressive isn't it? We have close to 46% unique owners and out of all the minted RUNI NFTs 17% of it has been listed for SALE. The one I am interested has nothing to do with its rarity and other attributes. I am particularly looking for HOLDing at least 1 RUNI NFT as this is going to bring in more value in the game of Splinterlands - **Runi Staking & In-Game Usage** The one which excites me more about RUNI is the utlity it would have to be stake directly to a plot of land and provide some special and unique benefits to the production of the plot. I know a **Tract** which is like 100 plots; so definitely its going to be a great asset to ** HOLD** and bring value to all your plots/land.

Following is my bid for RUNI #2420 for **0.19+ ETH**. All this amount I got is via. my Splinterlands card rental income in the form of DECs and selling the GLX token. You got to have a plan, when buying an NFT which is that expensive; close to $250+ I did have some spare $HIVE which I converted to ETH to place the bid for the RUNI #2420 on Opensea market. Currently, the bid didn't get executed but I am optimistic that I should be able to get it. Considering that I have placed a higher bid when compared to others as seen from the above image.

For now I'll keep an eye on the bid placed; which is like 8% below the floor price. Will be really happy to get the RUNI at this price. If there is a pump in the ETH price, I guess the seller would accept my bid. And incase if the bid doesn't get accepted in coming 3 days, then I am going to change my plan and see if I can get a better rare RUNI considering other attributes and would place a higher bid for that RUNI... Right now its going to be a wait an watch GAME & hoping for the Best... fingers crossed.. come on lets get this RUNI... :-)

Yeah it can go side ways as well. After the minting date is over the RUNI will become more scarce and the prices may shoot up drastically.. so you never you what in there in this NFT world.. I will definitely try to get on RUNI for sure.
