My smile and stress over the weekend

<div class=text-justify > Hello 👋 I’m known by Gunu and it’s my first time here, I wish to share with you how my weekend was spent (26 and 27Th September 2022)

Weekends as the name suggests the end of the week, sadly it ends in a few hours no matter how you look at it 😪, seriously, it’s Saturday today and boom it’s Sunday night all of the sudden.

My weekend started with my tired body refusing to wake up from the bed as I was tired, really tired from the week which was full of moving up and down and troubleshooting PCs.

Heavens came down and finally got me out of bed with an upset stomach 😖… Sigh how could a person possibly start a day like this, I thought it was supposed to be my day off for crying out loud.  

I faced it head-on and finally understood that the movie 300 Spartans was fiction. It took me a while to get comfortable with myself again and finally start enjoying my weekends.

After my stomach was okay, it was hunger that settled in, I made my way to a local porridge joint, and got there just to realize I wasn’t going to have my favorite breakfast for the weekend as the porridge had finished, I’m quite the unlucky one huh.

I went back to my place with an empty stomach and thoughts of what to eat for the morning, I was still thinking when my sister called saying she’d missed me and wished to see me 🥰

I said why not, my motorbike needed some work on it too so I decided to go kill two birds with a stone. I took a bath and prepared myself for the journey, ooh I had to travel miles on a bike to the place she stays though, she stays in our hometown which is <strong>Savelugu</strong>, the place I grew up being who I am today 🫡

My sister called just before I took off saying she wanted to eat some <strong>KFC</strong>, sisters do know how to spend a brother’s monies 😪, I added that to my journey list and took off with my empty stomach to KFC.

I got there after some minutes and checked my pockets to see if I got enough money to buy it for her 😂 luckily I had, so I headed in to grab my sweet sister some kitchen. 

I got in and to my surprise, I was the only one in the should-be queue, the Ghanaian economy has taken a downturn. I placed my order and took a seat waiting to be served. I entered and was the only one, right after my ordering, people started trooping in.

I was finally served after a few minutes, I began drooling for no apparent reason at all, now that I think of it, it’s been a while since I treated myself to something good.

I made my way to my bike and made a while check up on it just to be sure it wouldn’t be disappointing me on the road. Well, I found out that if I didn’t refuel my bike I’d be left on the road 😂 I then made my way to a Shell fuel station nearby to fill my bike for the journey.

I then made my way after the refill(not a full tank though, I’m not that rich 😑, at all), made my way to town then pick up the road to lead me to my hometown, and headed for it.

The road is relatively active, probably because it has a Saturday or something. How I wish I will take my family out to have fun on weekends when I finally get the ability to.

The journey took approximately 40 minutes, I’m not the ghost rider or something but I do know how to take to the road with a bit of speed.

I got to my beloved hometown and made my way to my sister’s store just to find out she wasn’t there and had told me she was waiting for me there. Sisters… I have a question for all sisters out there, How come you guys know how to disturb your brothers that much?

She came later and the first thing she asked where was her KFC was. 😂 we took it and thought I’d leave her to eat it in peace 😂😂 haha very funny as if I’d let that happen, I took a few big bites of the chicken 🍗 

After catching up with her I took my bike to the repairer’s shop, my fuel gauge and speedometer were faulty so I needed it fixed.

The repairer worked on it while I went to our family house (The GUNU Palace ) to greet my grandma and siblings, they were happy seeing me (Who wouldn’t be happy seeing a handsome guy 😂) we spent some time together and went to get my bike. 

After taking it I went back to my sister’s to say my goodbyes so I could set off again to Tamale, little did I know that this girl would keep me at her store with her and refuse for me to go.

She finally released me in the evening around 7:00 Pm 🤦🏽‍♂️

I then had to make a night trip back to my place, I set off for the long journey. It was rather tiresome so had to make a few stops so I could take some water.

I finally got home around 8:00 Pm exhausted and got some food, I thought I could watch a movie or something, but little did I know that sleep was plotting all this while to kidnap me, I fell asleep without realizing it. And this concludes my Saturday.

Sunday started now not after, woke up tired, prayed, and took off to get breakfast( porridge of course) I thought would be different as I went with all the happiness and morale I had, only to find out that it was finished

Since I was unlucky for two days straight, I decided to go in for tea, luckily there was a store close by so went there to get a few stuff to prepare my breakfast. Got bread, sugar, and a few stuff.

I got to my place, prepared, and took my breakfast well deserved, then it hit me that I had to do my laundry 🤦🏽‍♂️ 

Gathered what needed to and already felt tired even though I hadn’t even started washing yet 😖

Took my stuff and used my bike to arrive where I’d be doing the laundry and prepared for the stress to come. My cousin took a bit of the load for me as she took the basins I’d be using for the washing and placed them for me.

I arranged the basins and took a deep breath for the redemption I’d be bringing on the clothes 😂

The dry lines were looking healthy I’d say 😂😂

The laundry took me well like 2-3 hours to complete, I was exhausted after the washing, and trust me, I started to overthink the fact that I wore all of it 😞

I took a well-deserved bath after the laundry and took some rest, I later decided to take a stroll in town, just that night was almost upon us and I knew I wouldn’t be able to stay out late.

I decided to visit a few friends in town, it’s been a while since I’d seen my friends from Junior High School. I went to the place of the first one and he’d gone to the park to play football so I decided to go visit another friend who worked at a phone shop. Found her, I hadn’t seen her since 2015, I was really happy to see her.

After the meeting with her, I decided to head home, since it was around 6 pm I decided to pray before I got home.

After praying I headed home to meet the Family and friends 😂. There wasn’t anything that happened afterward just me taking super and preparing for bed so I could catch up Monday early.</div>

So you just happened to leave out the fact that you brought KFC when you called to inform me you were coming home? It’s all good.😏

Oh and when I go home, your sister and I are going to hush out the fact that we’ve been talking about her treating us to KFC for a long time and when she finally made the order, she seemed to have forgotten about the boys. She’ll hear from me.😌

Lmao I thought your cousin did the laundry for you. Sorry. 

And oh the pictures for the naming ceremony, I saw them. I understand why you didn’t post about it on your status. Who did the makeup?💀

This question is powerful! But to me, I don't even know how to disturb my brothers. I love dealing with my problems all alone. That's why, if I eventually call on them, they knows am at the tight corner. Glad you cared for your sister's need. Keep it up.

hahahha, yeah, indeed, we have to do that. Last week I kept forgetting to refuel my car. Fortunately, my husband got my car to run an errand but didn't say anything.
