<p>&emsp; Parenting is one of the most complex tasks in our lives. Since I was in University I got some experience with tutoring and training new personnel to grow technically and even emotionally in my work environment. I try to giver tips about feelings and other challenges that could have helped me in the beginning. I thought that the same principle could work with my children since I was a child and I grew into what I am right now. But it isn't simple like that. Children are complicated, not computers, and also we work to keep a house, we don't stay with kids 24h a day. That's why usually having a partner makes things easier. </p>

<p>&emsp; A child that has two parents, independent of the sex, life will be simpler. Both can try to organize their lives in the best way where each can do other things in addition to parenting, like working, doing house tasks and even some time for themselves. Yesterday I took my kids to the library so my wife had some hours for herself, like doing her hair. So both parents must share responsibilities with kids.   </p>

<p>&emsp; In the case of kids missing one of their parent's figures I think it depends a lot. Right now if or my wife for some reason disappear from their lives, they are going to feel a lot for a long time. Even after getting used to the new routine, they both will remember the other that has went missing similarly. I remember when my wife traveled to Brazil for 15 days, during the first night my oldest daughter cried a lot. She is used o both of us at home every day so it is normal for them to miss this important piece in their lives.   </p>

<p>&emsp; However, if the child only has one figure growing them, either a father or a mother, this child won't know what is being raised by two parents. Of course, the main problem will be when this kid goes to school and notice that most of the kids have both parents. In that moment the kid will start to question "Why I don't have a mother/father?". The child will start to question that. It happens something similar to us, since we don't have family in Canada and my oldest child sees friends being picked up by grandparents. So she started to imagine a good life if grandparents were living near her, even though I know that It wouldn't change much since, grandparents from both sides never got too involved in raising their grandchildren. </p>

<p>&emsp; Having a partner to raise a child or many of them can help a lot for the mental health of the parents. Being a single parent is tough to deal with work/children/house. Especially if you don't have money to hire employees to help with housekeeping and children's care. But I think that a healthy adult can be a consequence of a family with one or two parents. What depends on a healthy adult is that the available parent(s) will be there when they are young and need help to grow.    </p>

<p>&emsp; A criação de filhos é uma das tarefas mais complexas de nossas vidas. Desde que eu estava na universidade, adquiri alguma experiência com tutoria e treinamento de novos funcionários para crescer técnica e até emocionalmente em meu ambiente de trabalho. Tento dar dicas sobre sentimentos e outros desafios que poderiam ter me ajudado no começo. Eu pensava que o mesmo princípio poderia funcionar com meus filhos desde que eu era criança e me tornei o que sou agora. Mas não é simples assim. Crianças são complicadas, não computadores, e também trabalhamos para manter uma casa, não ficamos com crianças 24 horas por dia. É por isso que geralmente ter um parceiro torna as coisas mais fáceis. </p>

<p>&emsp; Uma criança que tem dois pais, independente do sexo, a vida será mais simples. Ambos podem tentar organizar suas vidas da melhor maneira, onde cada um pode fazer outras coisas além de ser pai, como trabalhar, fazer tarefas domésticas e até mesmo um tempo para si. Ontem levei meus filhos à biblioteca para que minha esposa tivesse algumas horas para si mesma, como pentear o cabelo. Então ambos os pais devem dividir as responsabilidades com as crianças. </p>

<p>&emsp; No caso de crianças que sentem falta de uma das figuras dos pais, acho que depende muito. Agora mesmo se minha esposa ou eu por algum motivo desaparecer de suas vidas, eles vão sentir muito por um longo tempo. Mesmo depois de se acostumarem com a nova rotina, ambos vão se lembrar do outro que desapareceu de forma semelhante. Lembro-me de quando minha esposa viajou para o Brasil por 15 dias, durante a primeira noite minha filha mais velha chorou muito. Ela está acostumada com nós dois em casa todos os dias, então é normal que eles percam essa parte importante de suas vidas. </p>

<p>&emsp; No entanto, se a criança tiver apenas uma figura crescendo, seja um pai ou uma mãe, essa criança não saberá o que está sendo criado por dois pais. Claro, o principal problema será quando essa criança for para a escola e perceber que a maioria das crianças tem os dois pais. Naquele momento, a criança começará a questionar "Por que eu não tenho mãe/pai?". A criança começará a questionar isso. Acontece algo parecido conosco, já que não temos família no Canadá e minha filha mais velha vê amigos sendo buscados pelos avós. Então ela começou a imaginar uma vida boa se os avós estivessem morando perto dela, embora eu saiba que não mudaria muito, já que os avós de ambos os lados nunca se envolveram muito na criação dos netos. </p>

<p>&emsp; Ter um parceiro para criar um filho ou muitos deles pode ajudar muito na saúde mental dos pais. Ser pai solteiro é difícil de lidar com trabalho/filhos/casa. Especialmente se você não tem dinheiro para contratar funcionários para ajudar com as tarefas domésticas e cuidados com as crianças. Mas acho que um adulto saudável pode ser consequência de uma família com um ou dois pais. O que depende de um adulto saudável é que os pais disponíveis estarão lá quando eles forem jovens e precisarem de ajuda para crescer. </p>

Indeed... What matters the most is for the parent(s) to be available. The kids can't still go on to be good members of society, missing a parent is not a free ticket to having badly raised kids. After all, when a kid messes up, they ask "who are your parents" not "how many parents do you have?"

A presença dos pais no desenvolvimento da criança é muito importante. É realmente mais difícil para uma criança que já é acostumada com um pai e de repente ele morrer, isso irá afetar diretamente com a sua mente. No Brasil o que mais vemos agora são famílias destruídas por conta de latrcínios... Infelizmente muitas crianças irão crescer sentindo falta do seu ente querido, mas de alguma forma, sua vida deve contiuar, não é mesmo?

Quantos anos tem sua filha mais velha?
Incrível como essa referência da presença diária da mãe afetou ela. 
Eu passei por algumas ausências da minha esposa na questão de dias e o que aconteceu lá em casa foi diferente, nada parecido com choro.

If both parents work 8h a day, it's gonna be tough anyways... The easiest was back in the days when one work and the other is at home to take care for the rest, but it's impossible nowadays... I think grandparents really helps huge expecially when kids are sick and you need to take days off work or unpaid days

Realmente, ter uma mãe e um pai as coisas se tornam mais faceis para os filhos. Pois, as responsabilidades podem ser dividas, ficar com filhos para que o outro tenha um tempo para si. Além do mais é importante para que as crianças no futuro lembrem que seu pai esteve presente em sua vida. A vida não é só pagar boletos!
