##### Fun Fact: The creator of EOS is the also the co-creator of Steemit and BitShares as well!

EOS will be a platform to support decentralized apps that will make it much easier for developers to create these apps.
 
* **So why are so many people speculating it to be the "Ethereum killer"?**
Simply, EOS is way simpler for apps with readable code unlike ETH where the app is coded followed by being put into machine code and then run on Ethereum network. 

* **Whats new?**
1- No need for smart contracts to interact with the platform.
2- Users will no longer need to pay money to interact  
3- Never done before, but the token sale will last a full year rather than a few hours
4- 30,000 transactions per second per chain - **now thats fast**
