Muchos fotógrafos, en algún momento, han padecido de la carencia de espacio digital para almacenar sus fotos. No nos detenemos a pensar en la cantidad de archivos digitales que producimos con una cámara, es una barbaridad. Pero, aun así, no se compara con instituciones que mantienen archivo de mucho años atrás, incluso de muchas décadas. Independiente del tiempo que haya pasado por nuestro lente, conservamos una buena cantidad de imágenes en nuestros archivos, muchas mostradas, mientras que otras no. En ocasiones, valoramos muchas fotografías cuando pasa el tiempo, revelándose ante nosotros otra perspectiva y otro valor comunicacional.

Posiblemente con el paso del tiempo obtengamos un poco mas de conocimiento en la lectura de las imágenes, por lo que solemos ver otro potencial estético y comunicacional en aquellas fotografías que en su momento dejamos de lado. Cuando logramos conseguir algo de criterio fotográfico, solemos descartar muchas fotos de nuestras series. Muchas de estas fotografías quedan aisladas, algunas huérfanas, sin otras que la acompañe en un discurso; mientras que otras permanecen viudas, quedando solas por no entrar en la serie planteada y proponen otro discurso. De cualquier manera, están solas y con mucho valor. Pero por estar solas no las mostramos y quedan en el olvido.

Me he dedicado a escarbar mi archivos viejos, a los que llamo _"Fichero Fotográfico"_, en busca de otras perspectivas. Esas imágenes que he realizado con un propósito y no han funcionado, que están sueltas y abandonadas, hoy les doy una oportunidad. Ese valor estéticamente aislado de las fotografías que presento hoy, con algún posible discurso, son parte de mi aprendizaje en el lenguaje visual y de mi patrimonio fotográfico. Son registros que tocan alguna fibra dentro de mi, donde almaceno recuerdos que forman parte de mi relación con la ciudad que me vio crecer. Puede que estas fotos sean eso: Una susceptibilidad personal.

De esta manera he podido valorar mi fichero, considero que desde hace algunos años he aprendido a organizarlo y a gestionarlo adecuadamente. En el pasado, por falta de experiencia perdí muchas fotografías valiosas, que hay recuerdo con mucho sentimiento. Muchas de estas fotografías viudas y huérfanas ni siquiera las conservaba reveladas, se mantenían en formato .raw. Así que, relacionarme con ellas desde este tratamiento blanco y negro, me hizo recordar ese momento, ha sido bastante grato.  Cuando le damos valor a cada disparo, apreciamos más la fotografía que producimos, por ende, la conservamos por su potencial intrínseco, el cual no vemos en ese momento.

In the past, due to lack of experience, I lost many valuable photographs, which I remember with much feeling. Many of these widowed and orphaned photographs I did not even keep them developed, they were kept in .raw format. When we give value to each shot, we appreciate more the photograph we produce, therefore, we keep it for its intrinsic potential, which we don't see at that moment._
