El departamento de Boyacá, Colombia, tiene un innumerable de sitios turísticos. El Puente de Calicanto se encuentra en Monguí, Boyacá, y es una obra que dejaron los colonizadores conservada muy bien por los nativos de la zona. El nombre del puente es bien peculiar, describe, de alguna forma, como se construyó. Le investigación que realicé me dice que Calicanto es un mezcla que se usaba para la construcción de la época, con ello pegaban las piedras. Esta mezcla era a base de arena, cal, melaza de caña y sangre de res; dado a los materiales que se disponían en ese tiempo.

Es un puente pequeño, el cual fue construido bajo las ordenes de los mismos españoles, con mano de obra realizada por los nativos. Se dice que el Puente Calicanto fue uno de los mejores construidos en los tiempos de la colonia. Este puente fue declarado por el estado colombiano Monumento Nacional en el año 1975.
