El día de hoy quiero contarles mi opinión de la película que recién se liberó en la plataforma de Netflix, estoy hablando de “Nosotros”. Es un filme que se vende como de terror, pero realmente no tiene nada de escalofriante y que al mismo tiempo trata de hacer una crítica a la sociedad americana y como han pasado sobre los demás para llegar a dónde están, pero que para mi no termina de funcionar.

It is a film that is sold as horror, but it really does not have anything chilling and that at the same time tries to criticize American society and how they have passed over others to get where they are, but that for me does not end to function.

La serie comienza con una pareja que lleva a su hija a la feria para distraerse un rato, el papá se ve más obsesionado en ganar los premios, mientras que la madre le riñe por todo, nos dan a entender que su relación no está yendo muy bien y quien termina pagando las consecuencias es la pequeña Adelaide. En un momento durante la película, la madre tiene que ir al baño para lo que le pide a su esposo que cuide de Adelaide, cosa que no sucede y la pequeña camina distraída por lo juegos alejándose de su familia, cuando llega a la casa de los espejos, dónde dentro se encontrará con su reflejo y esto le causará un trauma de por vida.
>The series begins with a couple who take their daughter to the fair to entertain themselves for a while, the father is more obsessed with winning the prizes, while the mother scolds him about everything, they give us to understand that their relationship is not going very Well, and the one who ends up paying the consequences is little Adelaide. At one point during the film, the mother has to go to the bathroom for which she asks her husband to take care of Adelaide, which does not happen, and the little girl walks distracted by the games away from her family, when she arrives at the house of mirrors, where inside you will meet your reflection and this will cause you a lifelong trauma.

Hasta este momento la película pinta muy bien, me gusta mucho la propuesta de explotar la idea de los dobles, los “doppleganger” estos dobles malvados y el hecho de que vivan en un mundo dentro del espejo me parece que es algo que se pudo haber explotado mucho mejor en la película, en especial si estábamos hablando de que es una película de terror, esperaba muchas escenas de los reflejos moviéndose en otra dirección o mirando fijamente a nuestra protagonista, escenas de suspenso dónde de repente el reflejo desaparezca o que salgan del mismo espejo, pero desafortunadamente el director desperdicia estos elementos y sólo lo utiliza para establecer su premisa de que existen estos dobles en alguna parte.
>Up to this moment the film looks very good, I really like the proposal to exploit the idea of doubles, the "dopplegangers" these evil doubles and the fact that they live in a world inside the mirror seems to me that it is something that could have been exploited much better in the film, especially if we were talking about it being a horror movie, I expected many scenes of the reflections moving in another direction or staring at our protagonist, suspense scenes where suddenly the reflection disappears or that they come out of the same mirror, but unfortunately the director wastes these elements and only uses it to establish his premise that these doubles exist somewhere.

Me gustan las películas que utilizan metáforas para expresar un punto y hacer crítica de la sociedad, películas que utilizan la plataforma para llevar un mensaje, pero siento que en US el mensaje se pierde, hay muchos simbolismos que no terminan de cuadrar y le dan más peso al mensaje (confuso) que quieren transmitir lo que hace que la película se vuelva enredada y difícil de seguir. Me desespera bastante que no sigan sus propias reglas, primero establecen que los dobles son un experimento, pero más adelante establecen que se comportan como el reflejo de la persona, los conejos no tienen una explicación lógica, me parece más un capricho del director para que sea “simbólico”, no te explican como salen los dobles del mundo espejo y por último el final, siendo la verdadera Adelaide las que los guio a la salida y diseño todo el plan ¿WTF?
>I like films that use metaphors to express a point and criticize society, films that use the platform to convey a message, but I feel that in the US the message is lost, there are many symbolism that do not quite fit together and give it more weight to the (confused) message they want to convey which makes the movie tangled and difficult to follow. I am quite desperate that they do not follow their own rules, first they establish that the doubles are an experiment, but later they establish that they behave like the reflection of the person, the rabbits do not have a logical explanation, it seems to me more a whim of the director so that be it "symbolic", they don't explain to you how the doubles come out of the mirror world and finally the end, being the real Adelaide the ones who guided them to the exit and designed the whole plan. WTF?

En conclusión, la película no me terminó de gustar, si el director quería transmitir un mensaje, este tenía que ser muy claro desde el inicio, la verdad tuve que hacer un poco de investigación para poder entender de que iba el mensaje, y al final este queda flojo, siendo una crítica a la sociedad americana consumista, pero lanzas la película en la misma sociedad que criticas buscando tener ganancias, congruencia por favor.
>In conclusion, I did not like the film, if the director wanted to convey a message, it had to be very clear from the beginning, the truth was I had to do a little research to understand what the message was about, and in the end this is loose, being a criticism of consumerist American society, but you release the film in the same society you criticize seeking to make a profit, congruence please.
