There is nothing new here, except for few crypto project most are fraud and trying to steal money from market.Isnt it ironic, the so called anarchist ideology based decentralized concept stealing money from the very people the movement wanted to protect. We have seen this multiple times in the history of mankind

This is sad news and many people may get hurt!
You are absolutely right that you have to stay awake in the cryptospace. It’s a place of great freedom and privacy, but freedom is never free, the price of freedom in cryptocurrency is that you have to keep up with news, always keep your crypto off an exchange if you can and trust but verify.

Basically it’s a huge example of the problem you always point out. If someone holds your keys they control your money. This is a ridiculous example of how even the President of a country learns this the hard way.
