**Sorowöpo (o Soroape)** es un balneario natural ubicado aproximadamente a seis kilómetros de la comunidad de San Francisco de Yuruaní en la Gran Sabana, Estado Bolívar, Venezuela. 🌾 Está constituido por varias piscinas naturales que se forman a lo largo del cauce del río. 

Orientados por el guía, sabíamos cuales  podíamos realizar, donde debíamos tener cuidado y que detalles debíamos considerar para hacer de nuestra experiencia la mejor, sin incidentes.

Luego de caminar unos minutos río abajo, se encuentran los famosos toboganes naturales donde las formaciones geológicas de color rojizo se asemejan al *Jaspe*, pero es una piedra llamada *Toba*. Aquí la corriente del agua permite a los turistas deslizarse por la piedra a toda velocidad hasta llegar a un punto donde deben agarrarte para no seguir de largo por el cauce del río. 

> **Sorowöpo (or Soroape)** is a natural resort located approximately six kilometers from the community of San Francisco de Yuruaní in the Gran Sabana, State of Bolivar, Venezuela. 🌾 It is made up of several natural pools that are formed along the riverbed. 
<br>Guided by the guide, we knew what activities we could do, where we had to be careful and what details we had to consider to make our experience the best, without incident.
<br>After walking downstream for a few minutes, you will find the famous natural slides where the reddish colored geological formations resemble *Jaspe*, but it is a stone called *Toba*. Here the river’s current allows tourists to slide down the stone at full speed until they reach a point where they must grab hold of you to avoid going down the river. 

Confieso que me daba mucho miedo, pensaba: *¡¿Si no me sostienen sigo de largo?! ¡Santo Dios!, necesito regresar entera a mi hogar.*  A final de cuentas, sólo se deslizaban quienes querían y el guía te sostenía al llegar al punto, antes de que te siguiera llevando la corriente. En el grupo éramos más mujeres que hombres y todos los muchachos se lanzaron, a diferencia de las pocas chicas que nos animamos.

Yo quería hacerlo, empecé a preguntarles a mis amigos donde debía colocarme y cómo hacerlo sin morir en el intento. ¡Era tremendo ejercicio de confianza! Confiar que la otra persona estuviera pendiente y tuviese la fuerza necesaria para no resbalarse e irse contigo rodando.😵 Me explicaron y súper emocionada, me lancé ¡No pretendía irme de ahí sin haber experimentado ese momento de adrenalina!

>I confess that I was very afraid, I thought: *If they don’t hold me, I’ll keep going! OMG, I need to go home in one piece!* In the end, only those who wanted to slide would do so, and the guide would hold you when you reached the point, before the current continued to carry you. In the group we were more women than men, and all the boys jumped in, unlike the few girls who were encouraged.
<br> I wanted to do it, I started asking my friends where I should place myself and how to do it without dying in the attempt. It was a tremendous confidence-building exercise! Trusting that the other person was watching and had the strength to slip away and roll away with you.😵 They explained to me and I was super excited, I jumped in. I didn’t want to leave without having experienced that moment of adrenaline!

¡¡¡Fue genial!!! Me lancé como 6 veces más. Como anécdota graciosa, la primera vez que me lancé, uno de mis amigos me sostiene el brazo al llegar al punto acordado, y no podía terminar de sacarme del agua, la cual estaba tan fuerte que me iba a bajar el traje de baño, entonces con un brazo intentaba salvar mi vida y con el otro me sostenía el traje de baño mientras me arrastraban contra corriente. 😅

En cada oportunidad, quedaba aturdida y despeinada por todas las vueltas que daba al deslizarme llevada por la fuerza de la corriente. Me reí demasiado. Estaba en extasiada por tener la oportunidad de admirar y disfrutar esos encantos naturales. 

>It was great! I threw myself about 6 more times. As a funny anecdote, the first time, one of my friends was holding my arm when I reached the agreed point, and he couldn't finish pulling myself out of the water, which was so strong that it was going to pull down my bathing suit, so with one arm I was trying to save my life and with the other I was holding my bathing suit while I was dragged against the current. 😅
<br> At every opportunity, I was stunned and disheveled by all the turns I made as I slid through the current. I laughed too much. I was ecstatic to have the opportunity to admire and enjoy these natural charms.
