Adaptación de una Prótesis Removible

<div class"text-justify">Cuando instalamos una prótesis sea total o removible siempre tenemos que realizar ajustes para que al paciente no le roce o le moleste en la mucosa.

Este paso es sumamente importante, por que paciente lleva el 80% del éxito, es importante no dejarla de usar y dominarla para que pueda comer y hablar con ella.

Es díficil pero no imposible, las citas de control son importantes por qué allí vemos cómo evoluciona la adaptación.

#

Entre una prótesis superior o una inferior la adaptación se da mejor en la superior ya que en inferior la lengua juega un papel muy importante by trata de desalojar la prótesis hasta que se acostumbra.

<div class"text-justify">En la instalación el paciente se prueba la prótesis y nos indica dónde le molesta donde siente filos, donde siete apretado, y donde el paciente indique allí hay que realizar los desgastes selectivos, alivio de bordes y alisado.

El paciente debe sentirse cómodo con ella y tenerla el mayor tiempo posible en boca, para que este proceso sea lo más rápido posible.

#

En cuanto a la higiene debe lavarse todos los días con jabón líquido o shampoo, no lavar con crema dental por que el material desgasta o cambia de color, para mejor sujeción colocar pegante para prótesis, si no la tiene en boca colocarla en un vaso con agua.

#

El paciente portador de prótesis casi siempre son adultos mayores que les cuesta mucho más la adaptación pero si se logra siendo constante y acudiendo a la consulta cada ves que sienta que molesta.
