Like what I shared in my previous post, I registered myself to a class in La Union... but it is not surfing. Instead, I tried Pole Dancing for the FIRST TIME!

To be honest, I had zero idea what to expect in a pole class. I mean, I know that there would be a pole (duh! haha), and that we'll try to keep ourselves on the pole??? But I really didn't know what we were going to do during the class. I really just decided to attend this class just to try experiencing it. 

The dance studio was around a 10-minute drive from my accommodation, so I took the tricycle going there. I asked to be dropped off at the market area instead of the studio itself, as I planned to visit the beach in that area before heading to the studio. 


And goooshhhh, I am so grateful I did that because the beach in that area was waaaay more beautiful than of the one near my accommodation. It was less crowded, and for some reason, the waves looked prettier too? Hahaha But aside from that, the highlight of my quick visit in this beach area was really the sunset.

I mean, man, need I say more? Just look at this beaut!!

Being there made me so so so happy. I could almost feel my heart smiling. Waaaaa. While I was there, of course I took photos of the sunset before finally heading to my pole class.

When I reached the studio, some of my classmates were already there. We were only around 6 students, so that made the class less intimidating. Alsoooo. I previously mentioned that I had no idea what to expect about this class, right? Guess what? That includes the fact that we are not supposed to put lotion prior to pole class HAHA

I mean, I know that sound like a common sense, but to be honest, it didn't cross my mind. I don't actually normally wear lotion, but since I was in the beach, I wore my sunscreen all over my body... Apparently, that wasn't very helpful for pole class.

It made my skin slide down the pole so quickly! haha I informed our teacher about it, and she suggested I put alcohol on my body to remove the lotion. That really helped. yay!

Okay... for the actual pole dancing part...
Man, I struggled... hard. hahahaha. Especially for the first few attempts in doing the movements/positions that the teacher made us practice.

Since it was my first time, my tricks were "easier and simpler." It took many attempts until my body kind of got comfortable with the pole.

In the end, I was able to do a few tricks, which I am proud of!! It wasn't great, but I am glad I tried. :)
