Many parties are trying to rival the popularity of Bitcoin, but no one has succeeded in doing so. Until 2014, Vitalik Buterin created a platform called Ethereum. Well 'today I want to explain a bit about the digital currency called Ethereum.
Ethereum is actually very similar to bitcoin. Ethereum is a public peer-to-peer network or a blockchain with its own digital currency called Ether. Ethereum was created by Vitalik Buterin in 2014 and Ethereum's goal is to be a platform where smart contracts can be created and run.

The difference between Bitcoin and Ethereum is that Bitcoin is aimed at storing balances and data on blockchain transactions, whereas the Ethereum blockchain is designed to store various types of data that can be accessed and used by computer programs running on the Ethereum blockchain. These programs are called decentralized apps, or dapps.
The purpose of the Ethereum blockchain is to improve the financial industry, the storage of personal information, governance with various other uses by using the transparent nature of blockchain.

While the way to get Ethereum there are several ways we can do, among others:
Just like normal money, you can get it by providing goods or services, and ask people to pay you with Ether. Paying with Ether is a cheap and easy alternative, and also one of the easiest ways for you to have multiple Ether. The other way to get Ether is the way most people use: buy Ether from a credible Ether broker, or from and an exchange service provider, like Luno. This is similar to how you buy foreign currency in your bank or stock online. This is the way many people choose because there is a guarantee that you will get Ether on the platform.
