# Time To Tell A Story! 
What? A blog post of mine? It was about time after a very long period of radio silence. Nothing from me has appeared here for a while. No blog, no update, no random text. And that's not because I've suddenly become swamped. I've always had plenty of ways to stay busy. If you've read my blogs, you know what I'm doing. And even now, I'm not languishing in a corner. Quite the opposite!

I'm busy. Full steam ahead. Just not on Hive anymore, not on Chain, not in words. My focus has shifted: from trying to build something in a virtual digital world, to trying to build something in the real world. Something tangible! From endless thinking to simply doing. From remaining hopeful in a virtual economy that wasn't working for me, to building something that's my own.

# Crypto Is Capitalism 2.0.
For over seven years, I've been immersed in crypto. I stumbled into it, and stuck with it because it felt like the only chance for financial independence. For people without start-up capital, without a safety net, without a network—for me, that is—it sounded like the perfect solution. No bank, no boss, just my dedication. And honestly, I certainly haven't lacked dedication. Unfortunately, the results of all that dedication have never been what I hoped for. After more than seven years, I now believe that crypto is simply capitalism 2.0.

Those who already have money pump it in and make more. Those who have nothing become the backdrop for other people's profits. And I haven't even mentioned the constant pressure from scams, shillers, rugpulls, and then there's the endless stream of "projects" that all want your money but give nothing of value in return. There may be a few exceptions that do, but they are very rare. Here, too, to create a good position for yourself, you have to start with the capital you can invest. As long as you can't do that and have to struggle to survive, crypto isn't the right place. It's a get-rich-quick game, and every dollar or euro you don't have can't be invested to grow.

I'm done with it. Not so much with the technology—that interest remains somewhere—but with the idea that this would be the way forward for me. Because after more than seven years of trying, nothing has changed financially. Besides being tired of empty promises, tired of constantly trying, and watching my hard-won "capital" go up in smoke, I simply don't have time to wait for maybe someday. I'm more in a "It's now or never" mindset. Promises of "Someday..."? I have heard enough of that, and honestly, I can't do anything with it anymore. Or rather, I don't want to do anything with it anymore. I'm not leaving what I have behind, but my hopes are focused on other things. I don't have time for "Someday".

# We're Working In Silence
And that's why I'm building on something now. In silence. Offline. Without big words or flashy posts. No pictures of graphs or projects, but working with my hands, working with paint, working with wood, working with heat, with ideas that can grow somewhere. Building something that isn't dependent on someone else's market, but on my commitment and vision.

My partner and I are building in silence until it becomes something that stands on its own two feet.

# No Time Or Energy to Write
But because I'm busy, I'm not writing right now. Because I'm _doing_. And honestly, also because I simply don't have the energy anymore to write little blog posts for five dollars while I need to build an income that brings me at least a hundred times that amount every week. If I were to earn my income from Hive, without also doing a powerdown, because that's not appreciated either, I would have to write at least seven blog posts a week. And for each of those seven blogs, I would have to receive $143 in votes. Well, that's a certainty I have that will never happen. So, needless to say, Hive can't provide sufficient income. Not for me. The fact that I'm still here despite all that (lately, more reading than commenting or writing) should tell you that I still hold Hive dear. Just because I'm only human and have to divide my energy between the many things I enjoy, I now prefer to create something that will generate income. And not only that, but it's also something tangible that other people can find comfort in. It's something completely different, and it goes beyond words.

# Something With Meaning
My mind isn't on tags and formatting. My mind is on wood, on work, on plans and possibilities built with my own hands, not on hoping the next pump will finally be the right one. So if you're wondering if I've stopped blogging, this blog is your answer. No, I haven't consciously stopped. I'm not depressed either. I'm just busy. Not online, but in real life. With my hands, with paint and brushes, and with wood, wood glue, Sawdust, frustration, and hope. And most importantly, none of those things need an upvote to be valuable.

Maybe I'll come back, maybe I'll stay quiet for a while. But here's at least one little word from me to say why it's been quiet here. Not because I don't have anything left. But because I've finally started building something that _matters_. And not just for me... that might be the best part of the whole story.
