Last week, @acidyo asked me to make a banner for him since his old one still has the *centralized* logo in it so he can't use it on Hive anymore. 

He originally wanted to use [this](https://www.kindpng.com/imgv/mJiixm_pokemon-shiny-mew-png-png-download-pokemon-mew/) and have me edit it and have some coins in it but we don't know who made it and if it even was allowed to be used so I suggested we just make a new one and just use it as a reference since he really likes how Mew was looking at his hands as if holding something.

I don't actually make fan arts. The last time I remember making one was when I was 14 making faces of celebrities for a study. Neither do I make illustrations cos I don't like working with clients. I prefer working on something with my own ideas than following instructions for art (I suck at it lol). 

But I was glad making this one since this is for Acid, who has done (and is doing) a lot of great things for the platform and is special to me. The only thing that was quite annoying with him is his requests at random times, but it is nothing compared to how other clients request and how they treat the artists. Overall he was a good client. :3 :P

I started out with a sketch. He wants Mew to face front instead of the original kinda-tilted-to-the-side one. He wants the tail to go around his body in the back and wants to keep everything similar from the original one.

Then I added the exact colors of how the original was made.

Then I started painting the face and added shadows. I wanted it to look like an acrylic painting or an oil pastel drawing so I used the brush that shows brush strokes as much as possible.

Then I finalized the shadows and everything.

For some reason, he thought of changing the eyes to color red. He said it's cos it's Hive Mew. xD

Thankfully, he didn't push through with that idea and realized it looked awkward.

### Time for some background

He wants to put Bitcoin and Ethereum coins on his hands, so I did. Then I wanted to experiment with the background and did a silly *rebellious* background with "Fuck the system" written on it lol. I like it tho. ( ￣ω￣ )

He then said he wants a space background so I painted some random dots on it and made Mew and the coins glow. Oh and I also added the Hive logo on his forehead. After convincing him that the usual red logo for Hive would be awkward for Mew's color, we settled for a dark blue one.

There were plenty of add-ons after this one too.. Like adding more stars, reflections, a glowing moon in the distance, etc. After that, he was finally satisfied.

I'm glad he was happy with those considering that I don't really illustrate something like this. It was a great experience after all, I had fun painting Mew and it was therapeutic painting those details especially on the eyes and ears.
