 <center> <sub> Why the fuck can this dog go out and not us?! </sub> </center> <div class=text-justify> <br> These past few days have been so busy for us. Just 2 weeks ago the landlord visited the house without any warning, brought her friends to check on the layout of the house. Was a bit shocked as it was rude to just visit and go to the backyard (I had no fence) without telling me beforehand, even if she's the owner, I have the right to know when they would visit. Later on, she tells us she would sell the house soon and we have 30 days to move out... Yeah I took care of house and made sure it was well-maintained. Always paid in advance (2 months advance) and paid all the bills even before the due date... and this is how they're going to treat me. :D Luckily I was able to find a house for rent that's perfect for us (2 humans and 4 animals) and immediately signed the contract after a few days. We moved like a week after that since I need to have an internet connection installed first and a heater for the shower cos I can't shower with cold water hehehe. Just a few days ago, we finally moved in to the new house. <br> <br>  The new house we're renting is about 2 or 3x bigger than the previous one and has a fence. It's big enough for my dog Ethan to run around. He's very happy about it especially now that the stairs are wider and not steep - so he's now able to climb the stairs without any assistance! Before he was really really scared of stairs (I'm not sure why) so he just stays downstairs. But now he got confident of climbing up and down that he now sleeps with us in the bedroom. He got too confident that he climbs even tho he has no reason to. It's a fan but instead of just blowing out the normal air, it slightly cools the air and uses water for it. I never had a fan in the previous house since I had AC everywhere, so this is my dog's first time trying it. I didn't know he would be a big fan of it lol and now sleeps and stays in front of it when we're downstairs. I know his breed needs a cool environment but I didn't expect he would love some wind blowing directly on his face. :D <br> <br>  My cats are also annoyed that they can't go out yet. They have been begging at the door. One cat is waiting near the door but pretending to be doing something else and the moment you open it, she runs towards it - such an opportunist. :D They can't go out yet tho cos this is a new place and they need to get used to it first. Making sure they know this is where we live now so they won't attempt to go back to the previous house and get lost. They will need at least a few days or probably a week to stay indoors. <br> <br>  One cat found her place in the cabinet lol. She sleeps there all day and doesn't even tell us she's there. Just enjoying her me-time. We haven't fully organized everything yet as I accumulated a lot of shit in the previous house lol so will need some time to set things up and also bring some mattresses down to the stock room so we'll have our own studio and computer room. :D Have a great week! </div>

I just moved into a new house too, but the death of my mom a week ago has made it difficult for me to truly explore the apartment. I think having a space for your cat is absolutely cool and you know, having an even bigger space to contain two person is great. Some landlord does these things. Ask you to vacate their premise impromptu without warning. I think 30 days is just too small. How many bedrooms are there?

Yeahā¦ especially itās quite hard to find a perfect place for us here - most are too far or are in a location that has a risk of flooding (not big flooding but still an inconvenience being stranded cos roads arenāt passable). Honestly they couldāve given us a notice about having some plans on selling the house in the future but yeah good thing everythingās fine now.

Man this sucks but that new house does sound way better than the last one! I had a similar thing happen to me once. Me and my roommate at the time had just moved out of a collective to a new apartment. The owner was working abroad and we had a contract for three years although with a 2 month mutual termination notice. Barely 5 months after we had moved in she lost her job, moved back to Norway and wanted her apartment back. She wanted it after barely 3 weeks even though the contract said 2 months. We stayed the full 2 months but she was mad and threatening to withhold our deposit. It all worked out in the end though. Your cats are awesome! Ours just sleeps all day then goes to the balcony to watch cars before he sleeps some more.

Same thing happened to us during lockdown, except it was so the landlords daughter could move in as she allegedly had no where to stay. 30 days we were given too. Silver lining was we ended up in a far better houses in a far better location for more or less the same rent. I am sure your pup will love it now š

Wtf with these landlords.. is that even legal in your place? For us, the contract I signed was not notarized by a lawyer so I wasnāt protected for anything but still 30 days notice is short. yeah they are fricking arses. Here the only way they can do that duting lockdown was by saying a relative needed it urgently to live. A complete con as a neighbour said she (the landlord) put it on the market to sell after we moved out. Well it worked out better, still a pain to move though!
