In human we all know that blood group are classified into four different group. This includes A,B,AB, and O. Each individual blood group depends on the kind of antigen present at the surface of the red blood cell.

People who are blood group A has an antigen A on the surface of the red blood cell and vise versa. 

What really differentiates two individuals blood group are the kind of antigen present in the persons red blood cells.

Among the four blood group, it has been observed that blood group O is termed the universal donor as it can be donated to other blood groups without any complications. 

The same thing goes to APE. Ape is a unique kind of creature that has almost similar characteristics like human. They have four types of blood group exactly like human. They have A,B, AB and O blood group.

Using a monoclonal antibody, it has been observed that bonobos has exclusively blood group A, while chimpanzees has been observed to have both A and O blood group. But in the case of Orangutans, it has all the four types of antibodies.

Looking at the similarities between human and ape's blood, do you think scientifically is advisable to be transfused with ape's blood.

Looking at the above write up, it seems getting transfused by an ape's blood may likely be possible, though there are still some ethical technicalities that needs to be considered.

In other hand, there are still some misunderstanding concerning the possibility of getting blood from apes, as some believes that, there may be some genetic constitution that may differs in the blood components.

Well, the reason behind this are not actually stated, but there may be a little component that is more likely to trigger out reaction when such happens.

Well, this issue of getting blood from apes got me as there may be some extreme situation where human blood cannot be found and you are left with the option of using ape or to die. In such condition taking the risk of undergoing xenotransfussion should be considered.

Getting blood from an animal like I said earlier, is a task every human being wouldn't like to undergo if not in extreme condition.

Though there may be no reaction getting transfused by an animals blood, buy there is always this general believe that blood from other animals might have a detrimental effect at long run. 

Well, since pig heart has been found to posses the same characteristics like human and have been used severely as human means of survival. I still believe that other aspects can also be helpful to human provided the necessary examination is being done.
