Greetings, dear bees of the C/Hiver Garden, I feel in my soul an abundant satisfaction to be able to publish my experience as a practitioner of the precious gardening of my home. The cultivation of Desert Roses (Adenium obesum), is my devotion; my connection with these plants is special. The beauty of their root forms, stems and spectacular bloom has my heart pumping with flowers from deep within me. In my window my adeniums are lovingly kept with abundant love, I have a window of love roses.

El cultivo de las Rosas del desierto (Adenium obesum), es mi devoción; mi conexión con estas plantas es especial. La belleza de las formas de sus raíces, tallos y la espectacular floración me tiene el corazón bombeando flores desde lo profundo de mi ser. En mi ventana se conservan con abundante amor mis adeniums, tengo un ventanal de rosas de amor.

Today, Sunday, the time is half past seven, the dense haze covers the atmosphere like a fog; the sun is flowing, beautiful, with the chromatism that is determined by this atmospheric condition, I breathe a smoke. I feel the pollution in my nostrils, it is not easy to describe the condition and the situation of the irrational relationship of man subduing nature. I walk from my house at a fast pace, it is early in the morning, I am going to my friend's nursery located in the neighbourhood of my city. The transport I use is a motorbike to gain, to gain time, space to look for the plants I have in my friend's nursery, I find the gardener's helping hand. His expert eyes diagnosed the disease and drew up a recovery plan: a meticulous treatment and a graft of hope. The mealy bugs affected the roots, which is one way they damage the plants. They deteriorate, and without knowledge of the behaviour of these harmful invaders, the plant dies.

La contaminación la siento en mis fosas nasales, no es fácil describir la condición y la situación de la relación irracional del hombre sometiendo a la naturaleza. Camino desde mi casa a paso rápido, es temprano, voy con dirección al vivero de mi amigo ubicado en el barrio de mi ciudad. El transporte que utilizo es una motocicleta para ganar, ganar tiempo espacio para buscar las plantas que tengo en el vivero de mi amigo, encuentro la mano amiga del jardinero. Sus ojos expertos diagnosticaron la enfermedad y trazaron un plan de recuperación: un tratamiento meticuloso y un injerto de esperanza. Las cochinillas afectaron las raíces, es una manera como ellas dañan las plantas. Estas se deterioran, al no tener el conocimiento de la conducta de estas dañinas invasoras, la planta se muere.

It is necessary to seek technical advice from specialists in this area of gardening. I sometimes hear my friends say that their plants have dried out. Obviously, they do not know the cause that disturbs the well-being of the garden planting. Professional guidance should be sought to protect the garden from pests and infections.

The carrier friend drops me off at the nursery gate. The central courtyard has a spectacular walkway organised by desert roses and the rose bush that sprays me with the fragrance of its petals. Thus, I am welcomed by making my presence felt in this pleasant place. The gardener greets me with an expansive smile of welcome. He is hosing water over all the plants in the garden.  I breathe gently, I absorb the spiritual content of the nursery. I move to the right wing of the site, the plants are with their beautiful buds as if ready to shoot their beautiful colours. They are bathed, the wind chill has been in this area of the geography between 30° and 40° of ambient pressure. He plans to water them in the afternoon so that they stay hydrated at night; and to keep watering them in the morning. That is the maintenance plan.

> El amigo transportista me deja en la puerta del vivero. El patio central posee una espectacular caminería organizada por rosas del desierto y el rosal que me asperja con la fragancia de sus pétalos. Así, soy recibido haciendo acto de presencia en este agradable lugar. El jardinero me recibe con una expandida sonrisa de bienvenida. Él, está con la manguera destinada agua sobre todas las plantas del jardín.  Respiro suavemente, absorbo el contenido espiritual del vivero. Me desplazo por el ala derecha del sitio, las plantas están con sus preciosos brotes como dispuestas a disparar sus bondadosos colores. Están bañadas, la sensación térmica ha estado en esta área de la geografía entre 30° y 40° de presión ambiental. El se plantea regarla por la tarde para que permanezcan hidratadas por la noche; y mantener el riego en la mañana. Ese es el plan de mantenimiento.

On an amicable basis, in December 2023, he did me the favour of sheltering three Adenium plants for me and did the therapy service of the infected plant with the mealybug on the root. Moreover, he gave me the grafting on the three plants of which one of them did not accept the grafts. I am grateful for the gesture of friendship. It is a favour, and favours are appreciated. Favours are not repaid. They are priceless.

Es más, me regalo el injerto en las tres plantas de las cuales, una de ellas, no se aceptó los injertos. Estoy agradecido por el gesto de amistad. Es un favor, y los favores se agradecen. No se pagan los favores. Son invaluables.

Days of perseverance and constant care have borne fruit. The Adenium, reborn, sprouted with vigour and its buds, like an army of vibrant colours, ennoble my optimism. The grafts I have are special, one of them is a black rose. It has a chromatism that will bless my emotional stability, and my home. The experience gave me a fabulous lesson in valued human perseverance. I have the environmental conscience to know the importance of timely action and collaboration. My garden, now more than ever, is a haven of peace and a symbol of the struggle for human and plant survival.

> Días de perseverancia y cuidados constantes dieron su fruto. La Adenium, renacida, brotó con vigor y sus capullos, como un ejército de colores vibrantes, enaltecen mi optimismo. Los injertos que tengo son especiales, uno de ellos es una rosa negra. Tiene un cromatismo que va a bendecir mi estabilidad emocional, y mi hogar. La experiencia me dejó una fabulosa lección de la valorada perseverancia humana. Tengo la conciencia ambientalista de saber la importancia de la acción oportuna y la colaboración. Mi jardín, ahora más que nunca, es un refugio de paz y un símbolo de la lucha por la supervivencia humana y vegetal.
