This holiday gave me a lot of things for which I am grateful, one of which was the opportunity to take a road trip drawing around Lagos. Though I didn't get behind the wheel because my driver's licenses were still incomplete and I didn't want to end up in a sticky scenario with the authorities.

So we started the day’s journey by having a stop by for food at an eatery named Chicken Republic which was around the Gbagada phase 2 neighbourhood. I was so unfortunate that on entry after waiting in line as a responsible citizen it was my turn and the attendant told me that the POS was not functioning. I was enraged within because I was hungry, and as the proverb goes, "A hungry man is an angry man." All I had to do was co-ordinate myself to do the necessary things instead of making a spectacle. Well, patience wasn't done with me yet; when we arrived at the automated teller machine (ATM), there was a huge line that we had to take turns with. It seemed more like money wasn't in circulation or that everyone wanted to get their shopping done before the holiday season.

So it got to my turn I was able to withdraw some cash I ran as fast as my leg could carrying back to chicken republic to get food. After I was over fed I cleared my cheque and set out to continue with the road trip, we made a few stops at the local market in and around the neighbourhood to get some livestock, groceries cause we were lacking some in the house.

Our first stop was at Alausa, Ikeja which was home to tribute sculpture done to Kubirat Abiola which was done to honour her for being a loving mother to people from all works of life, and people loved her for humanitarian actions she displayed back then in the 60's. 
So we moved on with the journey opposite the statute which was a popular place which is called the “MOTORWAYS”  with a building with a large land mass I can’t really pin if it’s more like a shopping complex or a creation attraction. Sometimes I just have the feeling as the name goes motorways is were you drive your 4x4 automobile, so our journey continued tho the driver patience was running out even if he was paid to do the job.

My last stop was CELE, why it the area was named so I really didn’t have any idea, I just know it’s located along the Gbagada expressway with links to some great site attractions in Lagos like the Lagos Apapa sea ports, Festac town, satellite town, and one of entry points to Badagry which is a neighbouring town close to Lagos state. Badagry is a French-speaking native and most French-speaking students journey there for their French summer camp.

Cele is home to most Igbo's, which are very well known for their entrepreneurship and their lucrative nature. Igbo is a native tribe in Nigeria which they dominate over 2 states out of the 35 states excluding the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). So most of these Igbo speaking natives have business in the vicinity or work in the sea ports so cele and it’s environs are mostly populated by them which they chose as residential areas which is quite closer to their place of business or work place. Well there was no prehistoric place found here, but I was happy I was able to start taking road trips because it has been on my bucket list for a while now.
