<CENTER></CENTER> --- <center><h3>Real Traffic That Converts</h3></center> I have been talking about search engine optimization or SEO for a long period of time. I have always said that [Hive](https://hive.io/) would benefit tremedously by organic traffic and that is why I have been publicly open about the importance of optimized content. At one point, last year, @trumpman reached out and asked me if I was interested in writing more SEO friendly content. By doing that, he seemed to understand the importance of optimized content and we could rather easily agree upon the fact that [LeoFinance](https://leofinance.io) *(Hive and other communities as well)* would benefit greatly by more evergreen, SEO friendly content. He seemed to share my vision, or at least understand how powerful **organic traffic** is- and will be for our ecosystem, and that gave me motivation and pushed me to put in the necessary effort it took to produce optimized content. 2021-06-06 was the date I published an article, after the discussion I had with @trumpman, ([AriaKourada](https://twitter.com/AriaKourada) on twitter) and the post I published was: - [How Often Should You Buy And Sell Crypto?](https://leofinance.io/@hitmeasap/how-often-should-you-buy-and-sell-crypto) I wrote that post with **one** intention: **Organic traffic**. I am familiar with optimized content, I have worked as a freelancer for years and I took my freelancing experience *(and eventually my clients)* and started my own brand building business. I wouldn't call myself anything remotely near a SEO expert though, because I have worked with real experts and I am not even on the same page as some of them in terms of knowledge and experience. However, I started out on Fiverr and several of its different clones, I ended up becoming a top rated seller on SEOClerks, where I eventually started to provide my brand building services, and I went from there to my own business. That said, I have experience and I gathered lots of knowledge by working with literally hundreds of people from all over the world. Both as clients of mine, but also as co-workers. Long story short, I pushed people towards specific products or websites. I acted as a springboard and boosted my clients sales. I did that with great results and much success despite not being a so called "expert", because I did things with a **twist**. I looked outside the box, saw an opportunity, looked at my own tools and what I could deliver, and I came up with products (services) that **no one** was offering. I was determined and landed my first clients rapidly. They liked what I did and they told others about me. The rest is history, but my point is that Hive, LeoFinance and all the other communities we have on the Hive blockchain, is looking for "eyeballs". - **We want traffic that converts**. I am familiar with optimized content and I know the importance of organic traffic. I always knew and I have talked about it many times in the past. On-chain and off-chain. I have discussed things with dozens of people over the years I have been here, ever since the ~~Steemit~~ days, but most of them didn't care about the things I said. Most of them either ignored it completely or told me that it wouldn't work.. > *"Hive doesn't work like that."* Anyhow, the purpose of the post I mentioned above was to **convince** people that it actually **works**, and what was better than to prove my point doing a "test post" that would/could eventually lead to **organic traffic**? --- <center></center> --- 204 page views from Google is the total amount of page views that post has brought directly to LeoFinance. Now, this is obviously **far** from the **amazing** [8.9K Page Views](https://leofinance.io/@finguru/my-articles-got-8-9k-page-views-to-leofinance-from-google) @finguru has brought to LeoFinance with his articles, but it's 204 page views LeoFinance would **not** have gotten, if I had never published that article. **I have also ranked a handful of certain long-tail keywords like:** *"How To Earn Crypto From Blogging"* with [this post](https://leofinance.io/@hitmeasap/how-to-earn-crypto-from-blogging-in-2021) and "*ESCOBAR Cash (ECH)*" with [this post](https://leofinance.io/@hitmeasap/escobar-cash-ech-virtual-cryptocurrency). Each post was made to produce long term value for LeoFinance and ultimately Hive with **organic traffic**. I also published "[How Often Can I Buy And Sell Crypto On Coinbase?](https://leofinance.io/@hitmeasap/how-often-can-i-buy-and-sell-crypto-on-coinbase)" with the same intention. I want to reach **outsiders**. People who've never heard of Hive or LeoFinance. Or people who've actually heard about it, but never cared enough to join. I want to reach the **masses**, or at least some of them, and I know that the **best** and most sustainable way to do that, is through **search engines**. We need the organic traffic. You can advertise and promote whatever for all you're worth, but that will **never** have the same results as **Google**. You can literally throw hundreds of thousands of dollars on various marketing campaigns. None of that will ever live up to the potential of what Google could bring you. - I know that. You might not be convinced or care the slightest and that is entirely up to you. I am not here trying to force you to do things you arenโt comfortable with. The only thing I want, is that you allow me- and a handful of other authors who believes in SEO, to do what we want, even if- or when you donโt understand or believe in it. Build SEO guidance into the frontends. Something like Yoast. This would add tremendous value to Hive. 99% of the people here don't know what SEO is. I feel like this is directed towards my downvote, if you've been around curating for longer and spent more time on it maybe you'd know he posts these quite often and they quite often get well rewarded. Having said that I don't disagree with them nor with evergreen rewards being generated by front-ends, it would definitely beat having to repost the same thing in different words over and over. Maybe leofinance could start sharing adrevenue with authors and readers of those posts, which may at the same time incentivize people to share their content more broadly rather than only have 10 views on the most popular front-end of hive even after having been trending all day and had zero comments before my downvote.

This wasnโt directed at you, actually I didnโt notice the downvote you put on this post. While I disagree with the downvote thatโs both our right to have and why 2 buttons exist. I was directing this at hive in general as few people care about the longevity of content. As @hitmeasap said in a reply to me above: most people on Hive only care about short term rewards and fluctuating the 7 day pool. I wish we would see more focus on generating evergreen content that would build it for the years to come. Thatโs something I will personally tackle: trying to create a rewards pool mechanism that can stretch itself to evergreen content as well as paying authors their short term gratification. sorry if I read this become really Bearish khal... Evergreen doesn't work on high completion keywords with rank and forget. it needs a really good internal link structure. Leo doesn't has. Onpage needs to get fixed first. Content is irrelevant if the site shows. Also worthless evergreen content brings 0 value ( like ultra longtails). Not worth optimizing. Regular posting and help like minded people to connect to interlink content naturally ( with no administrative effort) should for now work the best. next get a heatmap on site. Look people that not sign up what they are do. Where do they get stuck? I mean that are all basic concepts of the basic blog/ online businesses. Nothing special. and nothing against @hitmeasap, but he is IMO the absolutely wrong person to talk about an SEO scaling strategy from his background.

Not sure why I would be the absolutely wrong person to talk about SEO scaling but that doesn't really matter. What matters, to me, is that optimized content is **working** and we have authors who've been creating optimized content that brings in massive traffic in comparision to other content. @finguru is a superb example of someone who is able to drive organic traffic. That is worth far more than other types of traffic according to me, and he is not a SEO expert by any means. And that's the beauty of it. Anyone can make some minor edits to their content, and suddenly it has become a bit optimized. In the long haul, optimized content beats non-optimized. It's as simple as that. I am not telling people to optimize all their content like crazy persons or that everyone should become SEO experts. Absolutely not. I am just telling people that optimizing **works**, and we have dozens of articles proving that. Evergreen content is content that continues to be relevant long past its publication, so traffic grows over time. It is not news articles or trends for instance, so there is no reason for people to optimize their *"BTC has reached a new ATH"* post, but it makes sense optimizing "How To" and "Product Reviews" content for instance, as those evergreen-types of posts pulls in organic traffic over time. Having said that, long tail keywords or "low hanging fruit" are awesome for people to start with, according to me. Because it leads to **something** extra, rather than nothing. The part that caught my interest most was the part where you mentioned being a top rated seller on Fiverr. I'm a struggling Fiverr freelancer and I would really appreciate any tips you can give to help my fiverr journey. I was a top rated seller (Level X5) on SEOClerks. I still have that badge to this date, even though I only earn affiliate commissions nowadays. I used different Fiverr accounts, mainly 2 different ones, both level 2 accounts, and worked from there to SEOClerks and ultimately my own brand building business. I haven't been active for several years and things have most likely changed a lot since those days. However, I became an established seller by reselling other services at first. I think that people are too focused on money instead of reputation and providing good services on Fiverr and similar sites. Reselling services was the easiest thing ever. It literally took me 2 minutes of work but I didn't earn more than $0.50-$2 per order, after the commission had been paid. However, instead of spending hours working for $5, or trying to compete with people who does that, I came up with a better solution, for myself at least. I bought services for $0.50-$2 and sold them on Fiverr for $5. I literally just worked as a middleman. When I started to get regular customers and became more established, I started to add the different extras to charge more.. There's a few tricks to that too though. don't get me wrong but crypto longtails are worthless. Not enough clicks and value. Most search terms a short term and will never lift off. And if lift of, is a more direct search. My 2 cents to that SEO/ traffic topic Better Interlinking on Leo + better use of tags. cluster-related contentment together. Or in simple words, a better user experience. Leo/ hive is by design a very bad experience for users. Good for people that hate algo bubbles, bad for average joe. Outreach to other crypto/ finance people and invite them for interviews/written or not for some Off page work. fix broken links from other sites ( sources), ( needs expert work, expensive + a lot of work but results are stunning). But to keep it simple. content must be cool and fun. Informative and give a reason to stay. Overoptisized content is sales content. Easy to spot and get hammered by algo.

I am talking about things content creators can do in an attempt to bring more organic traffic. I explained it more in another comment just before this one. We, the "Average Joe's" can't fix broken links or change the design. However, we can give people a better experience, to some extent, by producing content that is "structured" (optimized) rather than blasting out wall-of-text type of posts with no images, for instance. That would, in the long haul, give us a natural boost in terms of organic traffic (rankings) due to social signals and people spreading the word. do what you want. Running a shared economy online business B to C doesn't work that way. Broken link fixes on other sites... That's an SEO tactic for getting high-end links... Like I told you, it's not to offend you. But LEO wants to be beyond a local blog ( i expect?). Maybe not. Internet works the way " winner takes all". So be the leader or die.
