Hello dear colleagues! It is a pleasure to write to you again with the purpose of bringing you the theme for the month of February. As our image shows, we will focus on a feeling: **RESENTMENT.**

##### _**A common decision**_ 

Have you ever been offended or hurt by another person? It is very difficult for us to answer "No". It is part of life that we relate to others and that from time to time these people make mistakes and hurt us. And that is when we will have the decision to harbor resentment or not.

Resentment is a feeling, and with it we can clearly exemplify the formula we referred to in the post about the difference between feelings and emotions. Resentment is anger + thought. That thought is the memory of the offense, injustice or harm that was done against one (or at least, that is what one believes). Then we begin to hear that inner voice telling us: *"He was the one who once did to you...", "She was the one who once said that...", "They were the one who...", "They were the one who didn't..."* And sometimes our lips utter them! Whether mentally or audibly, these words are often repeated (thought) and can then feed our heart with anger (emotion).

Resentment accomplishes something impressive: it keeps hurting our heart. Even though what was said or happened may have happened days, months or years ago (and even the alleged offender may have apologized) the resentment keeps stabbing our heart, bringing the hurt to the present again and again... again and again... again and again. Can that be a greater hurt than what was done to us? Possibly.

##### _**Is it easy or hard to feel it?**_

Sometimes, getting rid of resentment is not easy. It is possible that we experience things where the damage caused was very great, the consequences were serious and, unfortunately, it was done with malice and premeditation. We will not dwell on such examples. But we cannot cover the sun with a finger. On such occasions, getting rid of resentment is very, very difficult. Some may need professional help for that, and thus cope with the situation. 

On the other hand, it is very easy for some to remain resentful of others. They seem to find it hard to find the positive things in others, and sound as if they are hard to please. And in speaking out they sometimes give hints that they think their sense of fairness is superior to what others are executing. Sadly, in an attempt to justify that way of thinking and acting, they do not hesitate to resort to exaggeration when talking about what happened. Especially prone are those who tend to get angry easily, since everyone makes mistakes will easily have something to add to their bag of resentment. And in these cases, sincere self-examination applies: Is there really an offense being committed against me, or am I just being too touchy, seeing things bigger than they really are?

##### _**In summary**_ 

Resentment, like other feelings, can be managed. Recognizing it and admitting its effects will make us aware of how to manage it well. Keeping that feeling will make it grow in the heart and it will start to steal space from other feelings and qualities, such as love, trust in others, loyalty to important people, among others. Resentment will seek to keep them away with the help of restlessness, sadness and obsession with the faults (or alleged faults) of others.

When we participate in a simple, natural and familiar way in this topic we can see manifestations of this feeling that help us to identify it, differentiate it from others, understand it; at the same time we can share feelings with others when we go to their posts. Remember that it will be very important that you follow the simple rules of the community. In this case, write the word RESENTMENT in the title you chose for your post (if it is the first word, the better). Use the tag INTELLIGENCEEMOTIONAL and RESENTMENT which is the theme of the month. We will be reading all of them. We want the healing reports to be full of quality, unpublished material that will help us to draw this theme.**

Maybe you would like to tell us your opinion about this feeling, what effects have you seen that harboring it has, any experience of your own or someone else's where the person could choose to be resentful or not. Is it easy to get rid of resentment?  It is not necessary to answer these questions one by one, they are simply ideas to search your mind for what you know about enthusiasm. Artistic expressions are also valid, such as poems, songs, fictional stories, etc.

¡Hola queridos compañeros! Es un gusto volverles a escribir con la finalidad de traerles el tema del mes de febrero. Tal como lo expone nuestra imagen nos enfocaremos en un sentimiento: **el RESENTIMIENTO.**

#####  _**Una decisión común**_ 

¿Alguna vez has sido ofendido o herido por otra persona? Es muy difícil que respondamos "No". Es parte de la vida que nos relacionemos con otros y que de vez en cuando éstas personas se equivoquen y nos hagan algún daño. Y es cuando tendremos la decisión de albergar resentimiento  o no.

El resentimiento es un sentimiento, y con él podemos ejemplificar claramente la fórmula que nos referimos en el post sobre la diferencia entre los sentimientos y las emociones. El resentimiento es ira + pensamiento. Ese pensamiento es el recuerdo de la ofensa, la injusticia o el daño que se hizo contra uno (o al menos, eso es lo que uno cree). Entonces empezamos a escuchar esa voz interna que nos dice: *"Él fue quien aquella vez te hizo...", "Ella fue quien dijo una vez que...", "Ellos fueron quienes...", "Ellas fueron quienes no..."*. ¡Y a veces nuestra labios las pronuncian! Sea mental o audiblemente, éstas palabras se repiten con frecuencia (pensamiento) y entonces puede alimentar nuestro corazón con la ira (emoción).

El resentimiento logra algo impresionante: seguir hiriendo nuestro corazón. Aunque lo que se haya dicho o sucedido haya sucedido hace días, meses o años (e incluso el presunto ofensor haya pedido disculpas) el resentimiento sigue apuñaleando nuestro corazón, trayendo el daño al presente una y otra vez... una y otra vez... una y otra vez. ¿Puede ser eso un daño mayor que lo que nos hicieron? Es posible. 

##### _**¿Es sencillo o difícil sentirlo?**_ 

A veces, librarse del resentimiento no es sencillo. Es posible que vivamos cosas donde el daño ocasionado fue muy grande, las consecuencias fueron graves y, lamentablemente, se hizo con malicia y premeditación. No aunaremos en ejemplos de esa índole. Pero no podemos tapar el sol con un dedo. En esas ocasiones, librarse del resentimiento es muy, muy difícil. Algunos pueden necesitar ayuda profesional para eso, y así sobrellevar la situación. 

Por otro lado, para algunos es muy sencillo permanecer resentidos con otros. Parece que les resulta difícil encontrar las cosas positivas en los demás, y suenan como si fueran difícil de complacer. Y al hablar a veces dan indicios de que piensan que su sentido de justicia es superior al que están ejecutando los demás. Tristemente, en un intento por justificar esa forma de pensar y actuar, no dudan a recurrir a la exageración cuando hablando de lo ocurrido. Están especialmente propensos quienes suelen enojarse con facilidad, puesto que todos cometemos errores tendrán fácilmente algo qué agregar a su bolsa de resentimiento. Y en estos casos aplica el autoexamen sincero: ¿Será que realmente se está cometiendo una ofensa contra mi, o es que estoy siendo muy susceptible viendo las cosas más grandes de lo que de verdad son?

##### _**En resumen**_ 

El resentimiento, como los demás sentimientos, podemos gestionarlo. Reconociéndolo y admitiendo sus efectos nos hará conscientes de gestionarlo bien. Conservar ese sentimiento hará que crezca en el corazón y empezará a robarle espacio a otros sentimientos y cualidades, como el amor, la confianza en los demás, la lealtad a las personas importantes, entre otros. El resentimiento buscará mantenerlos alejados con la ayuda de la intranquilidad, la tristeza y la obsesión por las faltas (o presuntas faltas) de los demás.

**¡Este es el tema del mes! Ahora queremos que ustedes se expresen. Compartan de forma escrita, en video o en audio sus anécdotas, profundas reflexiones, expresiones artísticas (como imágenes, poemas o escritos),  e historias reales o ficticias hablándonos sobre el RESENTIMIENTO. Cuando participamos de forma sencilla, natural y familiar en éste tema podemos ver manifestaciones de éste sentimiento que nos ayudan a identificarlo, diferenciarlo de otros, entenderlo; a la vez que podemos compartir sentimientos con los demás cuando acudimos a sus post. Recuerda que será muy importante que sigas las sencillas reglas de la comunidad. En éste caso, escribe la palabra RESENTIMIENTO en el título que elegiste para tu post (si es la primera palabra, mejor). Usa la etiqueta INTELIGENCIAEMOCIONAL y RESENTIMIENTO que es el tema del mes. Estaremos leyendo todos ellos. Deseamos que los reportes de curación estén llenos de material de calidad, inédito, que nos ayuden a dibujar este tema.**

Tal vez quieras contarnos tu opinión sobre éste sentimiento, qué efectos has visto que tiene albergarlo, alguna vivencia propia o ajena donde la persona pudo elegir estar resentido o no. ¿Se te es fácil librarte del resentimiento?  No es necesario que respondas una a una estas preguntas, sencillamente son ideas para buscar en tu mente lo que sabes sobre el entusiasmo. Las expresiones artísticas también son válidas, como poemas, canciones, historias ficticias, etc.
