Hello friends, I'm going to discuss my discipline and work. 
I studied public health in university; from year one to 5 in the university, most of my courses are about human health. Therefore, I only have little knowledge about education. During the school days, we are used to carry out health health programs in the high institution and basic levels. Before I graduated, I and my teams carried out several health programs in the school. 
We advocated for well-being in communities and remote villages; we carried out community health programs, and school health programs.
It was very fun in those days: we spoke to the females in childbearing stage about family planning, we discussed menstruation to the students in junior and secondary schools. 
I remembered when I was doing my SIWES (Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme). It was very fun to be in hospital for months learning under experienced doctors and health personnel. 
After my graduation, with all my experiences I gathered while in the university, it seemed I had to start all over again.  
By discipline I'm a health personnel; by profession, I'm a teacher. 

Well! I have said it before, ‘that it is my country that will choose your future for you, not what you want for yourself’. Though it is not applicable to everyone. 
Some people planned to study medicine but found themselves in the biochemistry department. After graduating as biochemists, instead of working in their field, they work in other fields such as teaching, farming, accounting and more. 
It is very common here! I have more than 15 friends whose professions are different from their discipline or what they studied. 

**Are mine using the Skills I learned from School?**
There is no similarity between mathematics and public health. Here I am teaching junior school Mathematics in a classroom. 
We have certified and qualified people to teach mathematics in the classroom. They are taught different ways to facilitate learning in the classroom so that the learners can understand. Even though I'm very good at mathematics, I can't be better than mathematicians who studied mathematics in higher institutions. 

In another way, I teach Basic Science; it is not bad for me to teach Basic Science because there are many health topics in Basic Science. And whenever I taught them the health topics, I felt comfortable because I understood them. Even the students testified that, “Master, you are too good when teaching Health related topics than any other topics". 
Though, I can teach other topics; but, I'm flawless when teaching Health related topics. This is because I have a solid foundation of those health related topics. 
Therefore, I used the skills I learned from school in the class but not 100%. 

Since I love my discipline very much, I registered as a community health worker.  I was picked after the interview but it is a part-time job. They call me if there's a program. 
Speaking to people about their health always gives me joy. There was a topic, ‘old age diseases’ I presented in the month of February to old people from the age of 50 and above. 
After my presentation, some of the old men requested my account number. I received credit alerts from some of the old men. 
I'm still receiving calls from different people about their health. 
I and my selected team members also carry out community programs but my boss does the talking in most cases. 

**Am I Following any advice I got**
100%! I followed advice from my family and  friends. I know if the advice is good or bad; I only follow the one that does me good. 

Just like yesterday I went to repair my system: when I got to the office the money I was charged was too much. I called my family member, she said, “ha! This money is too much, it is good to come home and next time you will prepare for the billing". 
I told her, I will repair the system today. 
I called my friend,"don't worry, I have a good friend that I repair my laptop from. I went there two months ago when the dollar was high; and I repaired my laptop at a cheaper rate. I will send you the address and his phone number”. 
Within 5 minutes, he sent the phone number and address. “Have you seen the phone number and address?". 
Yes! Thank you. 
Before I got to his shop, he had called the engineer and talked to him.
I was very happy because I repaired my PC; and I repaired it at a cheaper rate. 
The first company wanted to repair it $256 while the older company collected $125 from me.

If I had listened to the advice of my family I called, I wouldn't have done it yesterday. 

Therefore, I listen to every advice;  pick the advice that is good for me and not harm anybody. 
The decision is for me to choose either to accept or reject the advice. 

**Should Kids Learn Better Things In School?**
Kids should learn better things in school; some of the kids build their futures in school; they become what they are today because they learned better in school. 
I don't think I would have had the future I have today if I did not listen to my teacher or I did not go to school. 
Some of my classmates that refused to learn better things in school did not end well. 
Everything they teach in the school is for the good of the learners (kids), the community, the country and the world at large. 
From basic class to high institution, I have never seen from my teachers that stealing, robbery, killing is good. They all condemned it. 
Everything they thought was to put me in the right part- academically, morally, socially, spiritually, and emotionally. 

*I stand up for success, and success is not achieved by merely making mouth, No room for laziness, no room for idleness. Success comes to the people who are desperately and consciously searching for it. When it seems unsuccessful or you smell failure around you, never discourage yourself from being successful.
