I will keep on saying that joining ***Splinterlands*** was one of my best decisions. It was like a dream of the night seeing myself as part of ***Splinterlanders***.

This is where you will read about everything that will happen at the event.
First and foremost, I want to appreciate the initiator of ***Splinterlands***; it is not easy to come up with such an idea that brings value. ***Splinterlands*** is a good idea that has brought value to this generation. There are many people who earn their living through ***@Splinterlands***.
My appreciation goes to the crew, I mean the team making their efforts to make everything go smoothly in this game. ***Splinterlands*** have achieved milestones because of your tireless efforts and commitment.
***Splinterlands*** game was birthed 5-year ago; precisely, May 2018, the game started slowly and steadily. The ***Splinterlands*** game was called ***Steemmonsters*** in those periods. In my own perceptions, it was called ***Steemmonsters*** because it was built on steem in those days. After the hard fork that happened, ***Steemmonsters*** was changed to ***Splinterlands***. That was the era when the price of ***#Bitcoin*** was low; people in my area have no knowledge about ***#Bitcoin***.
Today, ***Splinterlands*** is one of the best gaming industries in the world. When I was researching about top ***#play2earn*** game on the beginning of year 2023; ***Splinterlands*** was among the top 10 #play2earn game in the world after rigorous searching online.
***Splinterlands*** game was given birth in May; and that is the reason ***Splinterlands*** team came up with new ideas of rewarding ***Splinterlanders*** by burning DEC or DEC-B burned. A player that has 10k points from burning DEC or DEC-B will be rewarded.
The good news is that the event has already started, it is the best moment for you to grab something good.

***WHERE IS THIS EVENT TAKING PLACE?***β

You don't need to go far to get to the event center, sign into Splinterlands website with your hive keys or Keychain; Click shop and event, then you have access to burn DEC or DEC-B.
***Note***: there is no other way to burn DEC or DEC-B except through Splinterlands shop; burning through other methods will not count as it is like giveaway. π

To be among winners, you must:
***PARTICIPATE***: My boss said, "only the participants are rewarded in an event. The spectators are there to watch it and they can't be rewarded."
He asked me one day that, "since I have been watching field or track events, have I ever seen where a non-participant was rewarded."
I said 'no'.
He said, "So it is in this life, people must see your work or what you have done before you are rewarded. When you see someone is rewarded, he must have worked in the past; It is the law of nature. "
I promised myself to participate in this event.
***BURN***: you must burn DEC or DEC-B, that is the only way you qualify to get something; even if you are not among the top burners, you will get something by burning DEC or DEC-B worth 10k points.
Burning is the only way to participate.
***WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PARTICIPATE?***
***GET DEC OR DEC-B***: there is Dec in the market, you can get DEC in hive-engine. There are many other ways to get DEC: that is for small players that have no DEC but want to participate.
Who knows, you might get a big reward by burning a DEC or DEC-B worth less than $5.
It is an opportunity for everyone, both big and small players.
Well! Big players in the game have no problem because many of them have tons of DEC or DEC-B.
The advantage of big players is that they have more DEC to burn than small players which can make them compete in the leaderboard.
For me, I have to burn my hard-earned DEC to participate not to compete in the leaderboard.

***WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?***β

***THE BEST STRATEGY TO USE WHEN UP & CLOSE RULE IS GIVEN***
I missed my previous Brawl fight; and it really pained ππππ’ because I let my Guild team down. If I participate and win all my battles, my Guild would have stepped up a little bit.
I was not happy when I saw that all my battles were fled; that was the reason I promised to remain active and play all my battles.
To avoid another story that touches the heart, I entered the Arena yesterday which was Wednesday. Then. Waiting for my opponent to enter their own.
Today when I checked my battles, three of my opponents had entered their Arenas. When I played the battles, one of the battles captivated my mind. One of the rules of the battle was 'up close & personal' where only melee monsters are allowed to use.
Since I understand the rule very well; I knew the best strategy that my opponent would come up with.
There was a day I encountered this rule, I used more than 2 sneaky monsters while my opponent used a monster with thorns ability, that was how all my sneaky monsters were damaged and eliminated by a monster with thorns ability.
He did not only use a thorns ability monster but also Demoralize monster and also a summoner that reduced melee attack of opponent monsters -1.
Since then, I preferred to use opportunity monsters; if I was given an opportunity to use level 4 of summoner, I would have used ***Dumacke Orc*** because of his retaliate ability.

The major reason I used ***Helios Matriarch*** was the speed, I knew that the speed of this summoner would be of value to me in this battle.
Therefore, Speed was of important factor for me in this battle. I knew speed was very important, and my opponent also understood that speed was very vital; that was the reason he used ***Kelya Frendul***.
Using ***Helios Matriarch*** gave me more advantage to use 2 monsters with bloodlust but I made mistake by using in as the second to the last monster instead of second position in this battle.
***Sea Monster***
***Splinter***: Water
***Level***: 3βββ
***Ability***: Healβ¦οΈ
There was no position Sea monster could attack except first position; using this ***Sea monster*** in any other position rather than first position was useless. Therefore, the only position to use this monster was in first position. That was the only position the ***Sea monster*** could be effective, I.e. attack.
***Demented Shark***
***Splinter***: Water
***Level***: 3 βββ
***Ability***: Inspire
The function of this monster was to add +1 melee attack to all friendly monsters; demented shark should have been used in the second position.
You could see that without ***Demented Shark***, the melee of my monsters was reduced by disintegrator.
***Isgald Vorst***
***Splinter***: Water
***Level***: 3βββ
***Ability***: Opportunity
One of the battles rules where opportunity monsters are very effective is βup close and Personalβ. Since range and magic monster is not allowed, the best monsters are opportunity. That was the reason I used two opportunity monsters- ***Isgald Vorst*** and ***Deeplurker***.
I used ***Isgald Vorst*** because of the ***bloodlust ability***; as the ***Isgald Vorst*** was Destroying monsters, its stats kept on increasing.
At the end of this battle, ***Isgald Vorst*** melee increased to 8, speed 9, health 8 and armor 4. This was the reason I used ***Isgald Vorst***.
***Deeplurker***
***Splinter***: Water
***Level***: 3ββ
***Ability***: Opportunity
***Deepluker*** ability was the main reason for selecting this monster. In my previous encounter with βup close & personal, I often used sneak monsters; I stopped using sneak monsters because my opponent used thorns or shield abilities which made it difficult to destroy.
This was the reason I changed my strategy- using monsters with opportunity.
***Relenor Cleaver***
***Splinter***: Water
***Level***: 2ββ
***Ability***: Reach
***Relenor Cleaver*** best position is the second position and that was the reason it could not attack in this battle.
well! It was my mistake, I intended to use this monster in the second position; I made a mistake due to the time frame; I submitted the battle to avoid being fled. That was the reason I used ***Relenor Cleaver*** in the wrong position.
***Frozen Soldier***
***Splinter***: Water
***Level***: 2ββ
***Ability***: Shield
***Frozen Soldier*** was among monster with smallest health; therefore, opportunity monsters attacked this monster because of the small health. That was the reason the monster was attacked by an opportunity monster; and it could not be eliminated because of the shield ability. I used ***Frozen Soldier*** to attract opportunity monsters so my monsters could attack my opponent monsters.
***Frozen Soldier*** could not be eliminated in this battle due to his shield ability.
