Aldebaran was held in high esteem throughout, as was the entire constellation of Taurus.
 In the ancient Hebrew zodiac, Taurus was first called A or Aleph.  This is the name of the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet, remotely similar to the head of a Bull with horns.

The first Futhark Rune also means bull..

Around 2200 B.C.  e.  the calf ♉️ was worshiped everywhere - and maybe long before that.
 In astrology, the zodiac sign Taurus ♉️ is responsible for the second house, it is an earth sign, ruled by the planet Venus.  Both the second house and Venus are responsible for money, like the first Rune (fehu), which in a direct position speaks of wealth.  Previously, those people who had a lot of cattle were considered rich.
