New month greetings to everyone in this community and beyond; hope you are doing well. I pray this month will bring you many blessings beyond your expectations. How I miss writing in this community. You all have been in my mind; it's just that I have been so busy with lots of things. Family is the first point of call for everyone that exists in this life. Mostly in the morning members of the family are always in a haste to catch up with one thing or the other, especially going for the business of the day.

 Those that leave where there is high traffic get to see the members of the family rushing out to be able to beat the traffic so as not to be late for the day's work. Then businessmenand women try to meet up with their business too. All these factors make it so difficult for most families to stay together for a meal in the morning hours. Coming to lunchtime, most people are not home in the afternoon. Many homes don't prepare lunch because most people are at their workplaces, so some people prefer to eat out in the afternoon because of the proximity to their homes and then return home for a general meal at night.

Casting my mind back to my childhood days, I get to remember how we used to eat together mostly at night. Sometimes before dinner gets ready, some of us might have slept. I remember a particular time that my mom served food for us; one of us was deeply asleep, so instead of putting the swallow in the soup before eating, he put it into the water...that was a funny moment for everyone.Growing up and having my family, I try my best to approach dinner differently most times. It's best for dinner to be ready on time so everyone will get to bed at a good time, especially now that they go to school; when they go to bed on time, they tend to wake early too.

Most days we have our dinner between 6PM and 7PM, then we stay a while before going to bed. Just yesterday we all ate together as a family. To make it more interesting, we eat from the pot, yeah, from the pot. This is what I can't remember when last we did that, but it happened yesterday. Having our dinner together is what we do most days unless there is something that keeps one of us outside during the dinner. Eating together as a family is one of the ways members of the family tend to see each other's faces because there are some people who will always want to keep to themselves unless there is something they are asked to do by someone in the house.

We always learn to love each member no matter the difference they may possess. Also, as parents, we may not know of a bad habit the children learned, but the more we bond together with them, we get to find out and correct them in love. We also learn to accept each other the way they are; in any home you find them eating together, they grow to also love each other. There is this boldness it breeds in the kids. When that boldness is in the kids they will be willing to share things with the parents no matter how bad it may seem to be.
