Once again Hive is excited to join in the **[Caracas Blockchain Week](https://caracasblockchainweek.com)**, the premier blockchain and tech conference in Venezuela, both as a key [sponsor](https://caracasblockchainweek.com/nuestros-sponsors/hive/) and as presenters. This year's week-long event places a special focus on education, hosting the first local hackathon purely-geared towards creating innovative solutions using Hive and other blockchain technologies.

Straight after CBW, we will be holding our very first **Hive Blockchain Summit** in Venezuela. The event will see an intimate conference-style day in Caracas and a tour of Cumana, the Eastern tourist destination where dozens of businesses accept HIVE and HBD as payment.

## Hackathon

The **1st King of Devs Venezuela** hackathon kicks off on October 24 with three days of coding and mentoring. Pitches and presentations are scheduled for 27th and the final winners will be announced on the 28th. More information can be found [here](https://caracasblockchainweek.com/2023/hackathon/).

Two teams have decided to build on Hive for the hackathon, consisting of seasoned Hive community members and developers relatively new to Hive, that we already know of and more are expected.

## CBW Conference

The two-day conference portion of the event will host speeches from not one or two but seven Hive community members! Join @jonsnow1983, @danielvehe, @alteramelia, @arlettemsalase, @ecoinstant, @filoriologo, and @tsunsica

The hosting venue is **La Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB)**  and will see featured speakers from Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Panama and of course Venezuela. They talk about the latest advances in the crypto world and its integration with today's economy.

Caracas, Venezuela.  - La Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) será la sede de una nueva edición de la Caracas Blockchain Week, evento internacional sobre Bitcoin y Web3 en Venezuela, que tendrá lugar del 24 al 28 de octubre y Hive será patrocinador oficial.

 Oradores destacados de Colombia, México, Argentina, Panamá y Venezuela hablarán sobre los últimos avances del mundo criptográfico y su integración con la economía actual. La CBW2023 reunirá grandes personalidades en materia de blockchain, Web3 y cripto como Aníbal Garrido, Ernesto Contreras y Ezio Rojas, responsables por el éxito de la edición anterior de la CBW, que junto a la comunicadora social Leury Fernández, de nuevo traen al público venezolano y a invitados internacionales un amplio programa para promover la cripto educación.

El evento contará con el primer Hackathon Cripto de Venezuela, así como con talleres y conferencias para aprender sobre los nuevos usos de la tecnología blockchain.

Hive, será representado por Arlette Salas y Daniel Vehe, conferencistas reconocidos que trabajan en diferentes proyectos exitosos de blockchain. Sus presentaciones están programadas para los días 27 y 28 de octubre. Entre los tópicos que presentarán está el interesante tema: *Tus claves, tus activos. ¿Qué significa ser custodio de tu propiedad digital?*

Hasta el momento, Hive ha organizado y patrocinado eventos relacionados con las criptomonedas en Perú, Argentina, Holanda, Filipinas, Cuba, Alemania, Ghana, México, Colombia; y nuevamente la hermosa capital Venezolana se convierte en protagonista de una importante reunión de alcance internacional para difundir las ventajas y posibilidades de su ecosistema.
