Can A Security Guard Use Weapon: MCGI Topic Review

Hearing the teachings and insights of Brother Eli from the Bible, specifically from ***Numbers 35 vs 13***, it has made me to reflect deeply on what it means to protect the lives of people around me, including my own, while staying true to compassion of my faith.

This teaching taught me the concept of how to take refuge and it has shaped how I view my role and the weight of the weapon I carry. Brother Eli explained that in the Bible that self-defense isn't a sin. Because the book of ***Numbers chapter 35 vs 10***, describes that God instructed the Israelites to set up their cities. They set up their cities of refuge as a safe haven for those who accidentally kill someone. Like in the same defense with that intent.

So in the Bible, these cities were protected them from vengeance until they were able to face these judgments upon them. And the message was clear. God values life. God loves the life of those, the murderers, who kill his fellow humans unintentionally.

For me, this was just a reminder that it is also our duty to protect others, no matter what wrong they have done. And it is also part of wisdom and part of our faith to protect those who are helpless.

Brother Eli message is a very powerful one. It's not only about what I had experienced, but also about how I had turned into a person who was just being handled in the most compassionate way. Brother Eli was urging security personnel not to aim for fatal shots, like the head or chest, but to disable a threat by also targeting the hands and legs.

This is not about a skill, this is about having a heart and value for humans. It's about giving a choice of choosing vengeance or mercy, and you are choosing mercy at all times. Even when we are faced with a criminal that is very violent.

If you live in a country where crime can feel like an ever-present shadow, this approach can be very, very revolutionary. I know we can see criminals as an enemy that needs to die, but Bro Eli earlier reminded us that every life on earth matters and our role is not to just play the judge and executioner.

This teaching has really inspired me a lot.
It has inspired me to approach every situation for myself in a merciful mindset. Not just to improve my aim, but to embody this principle of compassion. If as a believer I face a situation like this where I must act, I want to be skilled enough to protect without destroying.

The Bible, the Scriptures of Refugees, says,
that judgment doesn't always mean death. It means fairness, even when it comes to the guilty. If you are in a position of gone, you don't have to see that as a tool of power. But do it to protect yourself.

For anyone just carrying the weight of protecting others, whether as a guard or a police officer, or a soldier. So this is a lesson that should guide you to the light. We are called to be strong and also to be kind. We need to be firm. Stand firm, but also be fair to others.

It is our duty to also protect lives and try our best to protect the lives of ours and others with wisdom and a heart that seeks peace. I am committed to be a guardian, not just of property but of humanity itself.

***Thank you***.

This is such a powerful and thoughtful reflection....I love how it balances justice with mercy, this is truly a message the world needs. Bro. Eli’s teaching brings a deeper moral compass to security work.
