Continuing onward with the Templar through Path of Exile

We enter the game's second act, with a Templar who is terrible at single target damage, and very good at AOE damage. 

In this act, we'll work towards increasing our single target attack damage.

I don't know if you want to learn all by yourself, in terms of build construction. But I think looking online for some builds that are good at the start of a new league could help a lot.

If you're not invested too much into lightning damage, you could give a try to Freezing Pulse! Coupled with Ele Proliferation and Lesser Multiple Projectiles, it's AMAZING!
