I am entering an exhibition at the local gallery. Entries for that close in about two weeks, but I have a big problem. Today, in the mail, I got the print I was gonna enter into the exhibition, and I am beyond upset and dissapointed. I'm angry that some people don't know how to use their eyes. 

I'm not a novice to printing, or photographic reproduction. I've got a heckin' degree in the field, so when my doorbell rang and I rushed to go get the box, full of potential, I was excited to put some new holes in my wall, get the drill out, put some d-rings and wire into the frame, and hang it until I give it over to the gallery. 

Instead, my wonderful piece, "Fantasy", featuring Holly, won't be going to the gallery. I've lodged a complaint with the printer, and ordered a new print from another vendor, and will need to source a frame. 

I thought was being smart by ordering the print and the frame from the single vendor, and for it to come in a single package, but I couldn't be more wrong.

These lines are consistent with the rollers that feed paper through the printer. It appears that they've stripped some ink away, or that they were not depositing ink onto the paper correctly at various points with the print. 

I'm really upset with the fact that I paid for this, and am likely to not get a satisfactory resolution. 

In the interim, I've oprdered a new print from another vendor, and I hope that I can find a 12x18" frame (with a matte) in time for the deadline to drop the work off for the exhibition.
