The Steem Price is about to explode!

We have all been eagerly awaiting the first ICO's on the Steem blockchain after the massive announcement in September that was Smart Media Tokens. Steem looks to be hitting the ground running with the first ICO on January 3rd called the Vice token for the VICE.org website. Vice.org is a pornography website that is being created by a partnership which includes Penthouse, Exxxtasy and many others which plan to capture some of the one billion daily user traffic in the pornography space by adopting a Steemit style payout system for the site. Users will earn Vice token by watching, creating and curating content.

You could argue that this ICO is going to be huge. You could go even as far as to say Ethereum has never had an ICO of this status, because all the ICO's on Ethereum are startups. The Vice team hopes to raise up to 50 million dollars in the coin offering, which at todays price would be just under 50 million Steem. Currently there are 260 million Steem in existence with only 68 million in liquid. The other 192 million is locked up in Steem power therefore it would take almost every liquid Steem just to fund this one ICO, so the price has to come up to provide more liquidity. Steem could be the best investment opportunity in the cryptocurrency space at the moment. At a 250 million dollar market cap it is extremely cheap, especially if more ICO's of Vice's caliber come to the Steem blockchain.
