At a glance, Art and Banking may not show a clear and natural relevance. However, art actually has a close connection to the nation's development, civilization and the progress of the nation. Transition of art is a reflection of the change of the country and its inhabitants in every aspect; especially social, political or economic civilization. The process of development and maturity of local art is very significant and it will continue. This can be seen through:

Selection of a wide range of art subjects, from scenery, figures and so on;
Innovative media diversity, from watercolor, oil paint, acrylic paint, batik to mixed media; and
Delivering an increasingly vocal message from a localized idea to a more global issue.
This is not only the process of physical modernization but is evident, it is also a proof of the process of change of thought and expression that gives the past, present, and even future imagery to be shared.

PRINTING ART: ART OF THE STARS

All participants are well aware of the role of Bank Negara Malaysia in expanding the financial inclusion. It is the Bank's mandate to ensure that all levels of society are able to achieve economic progress and gain access to financial services and financial information.

Likewise in art, Bank Negara Malaysia is committed to strengthening art inclusion by providing art access to its players, observers and the general public. Implemented through the Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Art Gallery, this effort is part of our social responsibility to enrich and highlight the country's art and cultural heritage. It started with the collection of works of art as early as the 1960s followed by organizing exhibitions and art programs intensified over the last four decades to date.

If we were previously exposed to more 'mainstream' works of art such as oil paintings, watercolor and acrylic. Now, it's time for us to highlight the Art of Printing: Art Of Age.

From the eyes of the eye, many who see this print art do not have much to do with the work of catan. It's not exactly right. The process of producing artistic imagery is accompanied by the use of sharp instruments, acids and present, heat. The key words are 'challenges' and 'satisfaction'. The challenge in the production of this print artwork is so dynamic that the technique is constantly evolving. These artists always want to make sure what works in print is comparable or should exceed the work of the catan. However, the process is different and of course, the challenge is multiplied. It has been proven that this art gives them an extraordinary physical challenge, they also regard this art as a 'healthy mind challenge' where the mind's potential of artists is always optimized. For print artwork, the color application process is not so spontaneous and easy to brush. These are the challenges that they have been pushing for in this field.

The artistic value of artwork extends beyond the aesthetic value. It has a character that is full of detail, both physically and mentally - is the satisfaction that the artists are looking for.

ART OF PRINTING AND PAPER

In addition to celebrating the artists and their works, the exhibition also coalesced the general confusion between printing and print art. Although the concept is the same, the technique is quite different.

What is interesting is that prints are not foreign to Bank Negara Malaysia. It started when Bank Negara Malaysia issued its first currencies on June 12, 1967. Printing and printing of money has many similarities.

Among the similarities that are of interest to us all are in terms of their artistic impact. Both printing art and banknote printing apply intaglio techniques.
