When a man repeats a promise again and again, he means to fail you. It's useless to hold a person to anything he says while he's in love, drunk, or running for office.Half the promises people say were never kept, were never made. Promises and pie crusts are made to be broken. Some persons make promises for the pleasure of breaking them. Some promises are better left unsaid. Promises are like crying babies in a theater, they should be carried out at once.
