After a couple of complicated days with the assembly of the house and the rain that does not stop and does not allow us to finish, we took a moment to relax and went fishing.

It was late when we left, more than 6:00 p.m., but since it gets dark hereafter 8:30 p.m. (at this time of summer), we had a couple of hours to practice our favorite sport.

I mention the word "our" because I always go with my friend Horacio who has lived here for almost 20 years.

Of course, he knows many nearby places where you can try to catch some good trout, although we fantasize about his exquisite reddish meat, we always return it quickly and in the best possible state of health.

Some think that this may be an aggressive treatment for the fish, I settle for thinking that it is less aggressive than killing it, besides we always fish with a single simple hook and without a lancet, to cause the least possible damage, and that is easily verified, Has happened to many fishermen around here to have caught a fish that had some other fly in its mouth.

We chose the Terraplén lagoon, one of the closest places that require less travel time and by paved road, not a minor detail when you have a couple of scarce hours, the weather was still very bad with occasional light rain.

I took this photo of my friend within the beautiful setting that the Andes mountains always present, a glimpse of rainbows can be seen on the left side, some sun and some rain.

We didn't catch anything, we just enjoyed the moment and we were happy, what more can we ask for?

Luego de un par de días complicados con el armado de la casa y la lluvia que no cesa y no permite finalizar, nos tomamos un momento de relajación y nos fuimos a pescar.

Era tarde cuando salimos, más de las 18:00 pero como por aquí oscurece pasadas las 20:30 (en esta época todavía de verano), teníamos un par de horas para practicar nuestro deporte favorito.
 
Menciono la palabra “nuestro” porque siempre voy con mi amigo Horacio que vive por aquí desde hace casi 20 años.

Por supuesto el conoce muchísimos lugares cercanos donde se puede intentar capturar alguna buena trucha, aunque fantaseamos con su exquisita carne rojiza, siempre la devolvemos rápidamente y en el mejor estado de salud posible. 

Algunos piensan que eso puede ser un tratamiento agresivo para el pez, me conformo pensando en que es menos agresivo que matarlo, además nosotros siempre pescamos con un solo anzuelo simple y sin lanceta, para provocar el menor daño posible y eso se comprueba fácilmente, nos ha ocurrido a muchos pescadores de por aquí haber capturado algún pez que tenía alguna otra mosca en la boca. 

Elegimos la laguna Terraplén, uno de los lugares más cercanos y que requieren menor tiempo de viaje y por camino asfaltado, detalle no menor cuando se dispone de un par de horas escasas, el tiempo seguía muy feo con ocasional caída de lluvia débil.

Le tomé esta foto a mi amigo dentro del bello marco que siempre presentan los cerros de la Cordillera de Los Andes, un atisbo de arcoíris se nota del lado izquierdo, algo de sol y algo de lluvia.

No pescamos nada, solo disfrutamos del momento y fuimos felices, ¿Qué más podemos pedir?
