Leading to a clash of bodies that left the Japanese on the ground. While Tomiyasu landed to the ground with his head away, Godfrey then stamped his stud on the chin of the Japanese. A move that looked quite avoidable, bearing in mind Godfrey still had his balance. Summary: After the VAR check, Godfrey was let to go free. Nonetheless, the likes of Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville have revealed that it was an intentional move by Godfrey. Things like this in football sometime makes me think about how difficult it must really be for referees to make some certain decisions.
