# ¡Excelente día para todos!

La receta que les comparto hoy la hice para el día de mi cumpleaños hace unos días atrás. Es la receta de mi abuela de toda la vida y hoy quiero mostrarles como hacer un Quesillo tradicional de la cocina venezolana, uno de los postres más deseados en las fiestas de cumpleaños en mi país.

>I made the recipe that I am sharing with you today for my birthday a few days ago. It is my grandmother's recipe for life and today I want to show you how to make a traditional Quesillo from Venezuelan cuisine, one of the most desired desserts at birthday parties in my country.

Los ingredientes y el proceso para hacerlo son bastante fáciles, así que no hay excusas para que no lo intenten hacer en casa y prueben un pedacito de nuestra cultura haciendo este delicioso postre casero.

>The ingredients and the process to make it are quite easy, so there are no excuses for you not to try it at home and try a little piece of our culture by making this delicious homemade dessert.

# Ingrendiente:

> # Ingredients:

• 1 Lata de Leche Condensada
• 1 cucharadita de Esencia de Vainilla
• 3 Huevos
• 1 pzc de Sal
• 1 tz de Leche Entera Líquida _(o 1 tz de Agua y 5 cucharadas de Leche en Polvo)_
• Azúcar _(para hacer el caramelo base del Quesillo)_

> • 1 Can of Condensed Milk
• 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
• 3 Eggs
• 1 pc of Salt
• 1 cup of Whole Milk _(or 1 cup of Water and 5 tablespoons of Powdered Milk)_
• Sugar _(to make the base caramel of the Quesillo)_

# 1er Paso:
.

Agrega en una licuadora todos los ingredientes (excepto la azúcar, esa la haces a un lado, la usaremos más adelante). Integra bien todos los ingredientes en la licuadora y déjalo a un lado.

>Add all the ingredients in a blender (except the sugar, you put that aside, we will use it later). Integrate all the ingredients well in the blender and set it aside.

# 2do Paso:
.
En una quesillera _(o alguna olla pequeña con tapa, preferiblemente hecha de aluminio o metal)_, agrega el azúcar y coloca sobre la estufa, directo al fuego lento, para cocinar el caramelo. 

> In a quesillera _(or some small pot with a lid, preferably made of aluminum or metal)_, add the sugar and place on the stove, directly over low heat, to cook the caramel.

Debes revolver el azúcar a medida que comienza a hacer burbujas, pero debes hacerlo sin utilizar una paleta o una cuchara, mueve la olla para ir esparciendo el caramelo por toda la superficie y los lados de la olla. Cuando el caramelo se torne de un color marrón oscuro, retira del fuego y deja reposar unos minutos.

>You should stir the sugar as it bubbles, but without using a paddle or spoon, move the pot around to spread the caramel across the top and sides of the pot. When the caramel turns a dark brown color, remove from heat and let sit for a few minutes.

# 3er Paso:
.
Una vez que haya reposado el caramelo dentro de la olla, agrega nuestra mezcla previamente licuada a la olla. Coloca la tapa y ciérrala bien.

>Once the caramel has rested inside the pot, add our previously blended mixture to the pot. Put the lid on and close it well.

# 4to Paso:
.
En otra olla más grande, agrega agua e introduce la olla tapada con la mezcla del quesillo. Se cocinará a Baño María entre 45 minutos y 1 hora. Sabrás que está lista porque al introducirle un cuchillo o un palillo, saldrá sin mezcla cruda.

> In another larger pot, add water and introduce the covered pot with the quesillo mixture. It will be cooked in a Bain-Marie between 45 minutes and 1 hour. You will know that it is ready because when you insert a knife or a toothpick, it will come out without raw mixture.

# 5to Paso:
.
Una vez sacado el Quesillo del Baño María, déjalo reposar a temperatura ambiente y luego llévalo a la nevera por un par de horas, idealmente por toda la noche. Una vez pasado el tiempo requerido, puedes desmoldarlo en un plato hondo, ya que el caramelo que no se adhirió al Quesillo, quedará esparcido por todo el molde y cuando lo voltees, podrías derramarlo todo.

> Once the Quesillo has been removed from the Bain-Marie, let it rest at room temperature and then take it to the fridge for a couple of hours, ideally overnight. Once the required time has passed, you can unmold it in a deep plate, since the caramel that did not adhere to the Quesillo will be scattered throughout the mold and when you turn it over, you could spill it all.

Sírvelo frío para disfrutarlo mejor. Solemos acompañarlo con una torta de cumpleaños o con un café, para los días en los que nos provoca algún postre dulce.

> Serve it cold to enjoy it better. We usually accompany it with a birthday cake or with a coffee, for the days when it causes us some sweet dessert.
