Lenticular clouds also known as Altocumulus Standing Lenticular clouds, are associated with waves in the atmosphere that develop when relatively stable, fast moving air is forced up and over a mountain range. These are a quite rare, so it is always a great pleasure to see them.
        Here in Costa Rica our weather is _**incredibly**_ powerful ... we can enjoy beautiful sunshine most days but often by evening immense storms brew! The ferocity and beauty of the lighting and rain is a _**real**_ experience - extremely humbling and a reminder of the immensity and power of our beautiful Mother Earth!
