A few years ago, I started having some problems with my car wanting to hesitate and stall out on me.

One day as I just had left work, I pulled out onto the main highway and my car was hesitant to go, as I gave it some gas.  So I was like, what the heck??. Well it did that for a second, and it finally started to go.

 I let it go, as if it was just a hiccup.

The next day, before I got to the stop sign where the same highway was, my car stalled on me. I mean it went dead.. When the car came to a complete stop, I put the car in park and turned the key and it fired right up.. I new then, something was going on.  At first, I thought it was the battery, but it was fairly new. Had it tested and it was good..

I was no mechanic, but I knew a few of them. So I made a couple of calls to get opinions..

 A local neighbor was throwing suggestions like the fuel filter(pretty new), spark plugs could be misfiring(new), air filter(new).

 I just had a basic tune up about 3 months prior.  Then he said that it could be the fuel pump(never replaced as long as, I have owned the car).

 I did some research on the fuel pump and I was hoping that, that wasn't the problem. That looked like, it could take a day or 2, to fix. A little longer, than I could do without a car..

As I did more research, I came across this thing called the Mass Air Flow Sensor(MAF). After seeing a video on YouTube, I thought, this looks pretty simple, so I gave it a whirl.
 I went to the parts house in my fiancé's car and picked up some MAF cleaner(they say to only use this, and not brake cleaner or WD40). It dries fast and does not leave any residue.

I took everything apart just like in the video, sprayed it down and cleaned it good. I let it air dry for about 10- 15 minutes.
While I was at it, I cleaned the air filter. Then I put everything back together and drove the car down the road, for a road test... LOL..

I am LOLing because, not only did that fix the hesitation and stalling, it gave the car more torque, power to get up and go!!! It felt like it restored at least  5- 10lb. ft. of torque. I know to some that may not be a lot, but to me, it made a world of difference.. To go from hesitation to straight up power... O Yeah!!!!
