### 📌 Binance will create “Secure Asset Fund for Users” after irregular trades at 2018/07/03 [(source)](https://cointelegraph.com/news/binance-resumes-suspended-services-after-irregular-sys-trading-risk-alert)

Recently, Binance’s internal risk management system has noticed the irregular trades of the SYS (Syscoin), based on a fork of the bitcoin protocol.  After Binance noticed unusual transactions in its own system, it was decided to do several things at once:

 - Recreate users' API keys;
 - Suspend trading and withdrawals;
 - And, more, to launch SAFU (Secure Asset Fund for Users). 

Also, users who had to trade overpriced SYS, will receive a refund from the exchange. In order to protect such risks in the future, Binance will work with SAFU. The amounts will be regularly transferred to the fund starting from July 14. 10% of the commissions reserved by the exchange will be transferred to separate cold wallet storage.
