**According to a report** analysing patents applying from organizations and legal entities, the United States and China are the leaders in the number of applications. However, there are also "winners" here, namely: **Alibaba** (90 patents) and **IBM** (89 patents). **Mastercard** has 80 registered blockchain technologies in total, and 53 applications belong to **Bank of America**. Some of the applications can still be pending approval.
**The largest companies** claim to register their own developments on the basis of distributed technologies. During this year, a few famous US organizations received patents on blockchain implementations. For example, **Santander**, a commercial bank, is now able to provide international payments on the basis of the **Ripple** platform.
Later, **Mastercard** offered the payment system that is most suitable for mass adoption. Further, **Bank of America** patented a system of external data validation in the "data processing network", which will work on the blockchain. **Wells Fargo**, a well-known financial corporation, registered the method of data tokenization for its encrypted protection.

**Deutsche Boerse** is a shares/securities marketplace organizer and also a large financial services provider which forms the strong internal blockchain and crypto-asset division.
**Despite the fact** that the marketplace has repeatedly spoken out about crypto-currencies global integration (mentioned the possible Bitcoin futures launching), its interests in this area have not been fully confirmed. Now the company is exploring such areas as the analysis and other modern trends, including blockchain.

**Bitcoin Gold,** Bitcoin's hardfork initially released in November 2017, got problems with listing on Bittrex, one of the largest exchanges. Actually, the platform requests BTG to pay **12,372 BTG** to remain listed. **Will BTG lose a lot?** In May, the approximate amount of compensation from the team was stated as **$18 million**, but it is obvious that now it has raised. Now, Bittrex does not provide Bitcoin Gold's liquidity, as it said; the coin is mainly traded on platforms such as Bithumb and HitBTC.
