A Researcher in his laboratory is not a just an expert who is trying find answers or ask the right questions to the real world dilemmas, rather he is a child confronting the nature of anomalies in the world and unravel the universe like a fairy tale. Researchers have always been known for their eccentricity and madness. But people forget to notice the underlying passion for answers! They are voluntarily entangled in the web of questions and answers just to unlock the possibilities of the future from the present. Imagine if the man who accidentally discovered fire had had suppressed his inquisitiveness, would mankind be what it is today? The relentless and childlike efforts conducted then to make today's world is carried forward by the researchers, they certainly are the flag bearers of the future and present.

I was recently watching a TED talk, where this speaker who was a scientist himself happened to be stressing on the importance of ethics of knowledge production and dissemination. Let me get more clear, consider if you were in a hurry and wanted to put aside something that you were eating, the only thing that pops in your head would be to grab a plastic container or anything equivalent that is easy, light and portable so that you resume eating as soon as you finish your work. Not for one blink of a second you would try and analyze any sort of chemical effects that particular substance would have on your food. And here's why, you would have been endorsed that the particular product was thoroughly researched and tested and hence is the best option. But here is what you miss, industries have a prescribed vision or targets and I would safely assume that these goals are easily the limitations of the company as well. Since the researcher would be heavily dependent on the funds being provided by the company, the scientist would be obliged to solve the problem complying with this goal and eliminating the wide application such as health effects in this particular scenario making the research biased. Moreover, the researchers don't get the full benefit and credit for reviewing, or coming up with the solution. It is rather grabbed by the intermediaries or profit centric journals most times. One fact we need to get here clear is that research is the truth and the numbers never lie and these thinkers need their freedom in delivering the truth.
