Cincinnati reliever Michael Lorenzen, who is known for his "good hitting pitching," set a new record.

He became a winning pitcher, hit a home run, and went to defense as a fielder. It was the first time in 98 years.

Lorenzen was on the mound in the seventh inning against Cleveland, keeping one run in two innings.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, he entered the batter's box and hit a homer over the fence between the left and right.

It was a two-run homerun that drove the team to victory.

That's not the end.

In the ninth inning, he appeared as a center fielder, and the ball didn't fly and the Cincinnati Reds won the game, making Lorenzen the winning pitcher.

It's the first time in 98 years since Babe Ruth in 1921 that a winning pitcher has hit home runs and seen defense in other positions.
