Con sus primeras películas, **Marvel Studios** comenzó a construir un universo a través de diferentes personajes con diferentes entornos, para posteriormente combinarlos en el gran *crossover* que sería **The Avengers**. Para esto, la quinta película, **Capitán América: El Primer Vengador** nos presentó a *Steve Rogers*, quien se convertiría en el famoso *Capitán América* durante la época de la segunda guerra mundial.

# Cine de época/superhéroes
Lo primero que diferencia a esta película de sus predecesoras es su ubicación cronológica, pues mientras las anteriores películas se desarrollaban en el presente, **Capitán América: El Primer Vengador** toma lugar en la década de los 40, entre 1942 y 1943, pocos años antes de que culmine la segunda guerra mundial.
A pesar de que la ambientalización de la película sí lleva al espectador a esa época, también hay una gran presencia de tecnología retro-futurista por obra de los avances de *Howard Stark* en E.E.U.U. y de *HYDRA* en Alemania. La estética retro-futurista entraría dentro del concepto de lo que se denomina como *Dieselpunk*.

# La historia del Supersoldado
La película por sí sola genera suficiente emoción en el espectador como para considerarla una película disfrutable. El personaje de *Steve Rogers* está bien llevado por [Chris Evans](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Evans), así como todo el concepto de lo que es ser una persona noble y digna de convertirse en el supersoldado. Su relación con *Peggy Carter* también posee la química suficiente para encariñarnos con ambos personajes.
La historia del *Capitán América*, su papel en la guerra y el enfrentamiento contra las fuerzas de *HYDRA*, son bastante dinámicas e interesantes. El rechazo inicial por parte del ejército de los Estados Unidos hacia el proyecto del Supersoldado, la voluntad de *Steve* para mostrar su valía y, aún más importante, aprovechar sus capacidades para defender sus ideales, son todos temas muy bien tratados en la película.

# El símbolo estadounidense
La idea de traer a la pantalla grande a un símbolo tan fuerte del ejército estadounidense y buscar sacarle provecho en una gran franquicia podía considerarse algo arriesgada. ¿Qué métodos podían haber para adaptar al *Capitán América* y que se vea como una genuina historia de superhéroes como cualquier otro?
En este sentido, **Marvel Studios** toma una decisión astuta al relacionar al supersoldado, principalmente, con el proyecto de *Erskine* y no con el ejército estadounidense. Tal vez a simple vista no se note la diferencia, pero la relación tensa entre *Rogers* y el ejército permite al espectador separar ambas cosas, colocando al personaje en un lado y al ejército en otro. Ambos elementos están asociados, pero no son lo mismo y el espectador está consciente de ello. De este modo, cualquier polémica que pueda rodear a la guerra y al ejército, queda ajena al superhéroe.

# Conociendo otro tiempo del Universo Marvel
Así como **Thor** nos presentó el lado del espacio y la magia en el universo **Marvel**, **Capitán América: El Primer Vengador** nos muestra otro aspecto más, es decir, el pasado del universo **Marvel**.
La película en sí no está realizada como una precuela, sino como otra historia aparte, pero ubicada atrás en el tiempo. Sin embargo, varios de sus elementos nos permiten seguir conociendo el universo que están construyendo.
Entre éstos se encuentra un joven *Howard Stark*, a quien ya habíamos oído mencionar previamente al tratarse del padre de *Tony Stark*. Así mismo, varios de los personajes que vemos en esta película acaban teniendo importancia en futuros acontecimientos de la saga, igual que el teseracto que tiene su primera aparición en esta película.

# Conclusión
**Capitán América: El Primer Vengador** es una película que cumple con las expectativas, combina bien sus elementos del pasado con la tecnología avanzada que utiliza, así como posee el Teseracto como único elemento mágico pero sin que éste choque con el resto del ambiente.
La película contiene suficiente coherencia (Más allá de que todos los alemanes hablen inglés en todo momento, cosa que no dejó de causarme gracia). El villano *Red Skull*, estéticamente tan interesante y con tanto potencial como villano, no resalta tanto como uno hubiera esperado, siendo un tanto olvidable al final (Probablemente culpa del estudio y su mismo trato con los primeros villanos de la franquicia).

>**Captain America: The First Avenger** is a movie that meets expectations, it combines well its elements of the past with the advanced technology it uses, as well as having the Tesseract as the only magical element but without conflicting with the rest of the environment.

>The film contains enough coherence (beyond the fact that all the Germans speak English at all times, which made me laugh all the time). The villain *Red Skull*, aesthetically so interesting and with so much potential as a villain, doesn't stand out as much as one would have expected, being somewhat forgettable in the end (Probably the fault of the studio and its same treatment with the first villains of the franchise).
