¡Bienvenidos de nuevo a mi blog, chicos! El día de hoy les traigo un post para participar en el nuevo concurso de la comunidad de [Hive Gaming](https://peakd.com/c/hive-140217) (@hivegc), el cuál pueden leer con detalles al hacer [click aquí](https://peakd.com/hive-140217/@hivegc/hive-gaming-community-contest-4-villains-and-boss-fights) y consiste en hablar sobre los peores villanos y peores Boss Fights (Batallas contra Jefes) que hayas experimentado en tu vida como gamer.

A lo largo de mi vida yo me he encontrado con DEMASIADOS jefes que me han colmado la paciencia y que me han llevado a tener experiencias muy épicas en las que he durado horas y horas tratando de intentar vencerlos, así que hoy les hablaré sobre varios de ellos.

Así que, sin más que agregar, ¡comencemos!

Throughout my life I have encountered WAY TOO MANY boss fights that have worn on my patience and led me to have epic experiences where I have spent hours and hours trying to beat them, so today I will be talking about several of them.

So, without further ado, let's get started!

<h1>Mis villanos favoritos | My favorite villains</h1>

Algunos con historias impresionantes, otros con sed de sangre de formas estúpidas, otros con discursos que te ponen a pensar que tal vez sus motivos tenían lógica de ser y puedes llegar a entenderlos, sin embargo, todos convergen en lo mismo: son villanos; se encargan de que nuestro protagonista la pase mal, algunos impactan la vida del mismo para desarrollar el argumento de nuestro personaje, otros simplemente no existen hasta que los conseguimos al final del camino, son impredecibles, son malignos, son épicos y yo tengo mis favoritos en el mundo de los videojuegos, estos son:

Some with impressive stories, others with bloodlust in stupid ways, others with speeches that make you think that maybe their motives were logical and you can understand them, however, they all converge in the same thing: they are villains; they make sure that our protagonist has a bad time, some impact his life to develop the plot of our character, others simply do not exist until we get them at the end of the road, they are unpredictable, they are evil, they are epic and I have my favorites in the world of video games, these are them:

¿Quién no tuvo un villano que te perseguía en tus más profundas pesadillas? Y no hablo de estar dormido, hablo de que tu experiencia de juego fuera un infierno por culpa de un enemigo que te pusiera los nervios de punta; este es mi primer villano favorito, el denominado <em><strong>Pyramid Head</strong></em> (Cabeza de Pirámide).

Cuando lo conocí, yo le decía cabeza de basurero porque era muy pequeño y aún no lo habría asociado con una pirámide, y cada vez que lo veía dentro de la zona que tenía que recorrer, no hacía más que correr aunque tuviera 200 balas disponibles, me aterraba demasiado pelear contra él, pues sentía que habría sido una locura, era muy resistente y básicamente no podías matarlo sino hasta el final del <em><strong>Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams</strong></em> donde —de una forma bien maldita e injusta— debes enfrentarte no a uno sino a DOS de ellos.

Siempre deseé que este monstruoso villano apareciera en otros Silent Hills pero lamentablemente no lo vi más sino hasta la película oficial de Silent Hill y volví a ser fanático de este personaje, simplemente épico.

Who didn't have a villain that haunted you in your deepest nightmares? And I'm not talking about being asleep, I'm talking about having your gaming experience go to hell because of an enemy that got on your nerves; this is my first favorite villain, the one called <em><strong>Pyramid Head</strong></em> (Pyramid Head).

When I first met him, I called him Pyramid Head because he was very small and I still wouldn't have associated him with a pyramid, and every time I saw him inside the area I had to run around, I would just run even if I had 200 bullets available, I was too terrified to fight him, as I felt it would have been insane, he was very tough and you basically couldn't kill him until the end of <em><strong>Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams</strong></strong></em> where -in a well cursed and unfair way- you must face not one but TWO of them.

I always wished this monstrous villain would appear in other Silent Hills but unfortunately I didn't see him again until the official Silent Hill movie and I became a fan of this character again, simply epic.

Este, por demás es uno de mis villanos favoritos porque fue uno de los que me provocó unos de los mayores <em><strong>Plot Twist</strong></em> de mi vida; proviene del juego <em><strong>Jade Empire</strong></em>, una joya que jugué en la Xbox original y que me hizo amar la cultura china y las artes marciales con locura.

El protagonista del juego fue criado por este tipo durante 20 años, preparándolo para su destino como <em><strong>Monje de los Espíritus</strong></em>, pues en algún momento serían necesarios de nuevos dichos monjes en el mundo, sin embargo, el estilo de pelea de nuestro protagonista siempre tuvo un pequeño fallo, una brecha que todo el mundo detectaba pero que nadie podía atravesar... hasta que te toca pelear contra tu maestro.

Pasas de conocerlo como <em><strong>Maestro Li</strong></em> a conocerlo con el nombre de <em><strong>Sun Li El Glorioso Estratega</strong></em> y la manera en la que te hacen ese <em><strong>Plot Twist</strong></em> es una locura, simplemente vean este vídeo desde el minuto 6:44 y entenderán.

This is one of my favorite villains because he was one of those who caused me some of the biggest <em><strong>Plot Twist</strong></strong></em> of my life; it comes from the game <em><strong>Jade Empire</strong></em>, a gem that I played on the original Xbox and that made me love Chinese culture and martial arts madly.

En ese último minuto de vídeo podemos ver que nuestro maestro de toda la vida nos asesina y así revela su faceta como villano definitivo del juego; tenemos la posibilidad de revivir por ser un Monje de los Espíritus, pero debemos pasar un montón de misiones en el mundo de los espíritus para ello, es un largo recorrido hasta que podemos volver a enfrentarnos a él pero ahora ya con su armadura y desatar una pelea de jefe impresionantemente difícil.

Siento que <em><strong>Sun Li</strong></em> es uno de los mejores villanos que he conocido en mi vida porque le da toda la forma y conocimiento a nuestro protagonista pero esa idea de criarlo con un punto débil que solo puedas explotar tú como maestro va más allá de cualquier cosa, sobretodo si el plan duró 20 años en ejecutarse, es una vida entera para una batalla final.

Y lo peor de todo no es eso, sino que al tú vencerlo, él te ofrece que te dejes asesinar para que él te haga una estatua y seas recordado como el que trajo la paz y el equilibrio al mundo, cosa que es mentira porque él solo termina siendo un dictador que destruye todas las villas, es simplemente despiadado.

In that last minute of video we can see that our lifelong master assassinates us and thus reveals his facet as the ultimate villain of the game; we have the possibility to revive by being a Spirit Monk, but we must pass a lot of missions in the spirit world to do so, it's a long journey until we can face him again but now already with his armor and unleash an impressively difficult boss fight.

I feel like <em><strong>Sun Li</strong></em> is one of the best villains I've ever met in my life because he gives all the form and knowledge to our protagonist but that idea of raising him with a weak point that only you as the master can exploit is beyond anything, especially if the plan took 20 years to execute, it's a lifetime for a final battle.

And the worst of all is not that, but when you defeat him, he offers you to let him kill you so he can make you a statue and be remembered as the one who brought peace and balance to the world, which is a lie because he only ends up being a dictator who destroys all the villages, he is simply ruthless.

<h2>Mis Boss Fight Favoritas | My Favorite Boss Fights</h2>

Más allá de los villanos que acabo de mencionar, existen otros que me parecen más que divertidos y que me llevaron a tener experiencias demasiado salvajes en mi vida como gamer, ya sea por lo difícil que fue jugar contra ellos o porque simplemente fueron molestos, no dejaron de aparecer en mi vida una y otra vez o cualquier otra razón que me haya llamado la atención, acá les voy a dejar 2 juegos donde conocí jefes que fueron una locura total:

Esta sin lugar a dudas es una de las mejores peleas contra jefes que he vivido en toda mi existencia, no solo porque el villano se encarga de buscar de hacerte daño con poderes psíquicos, además del hecho de que utiliza a la chica que te gusta para dispararte o tratar de dispararse ella para utilizarla como carnada y así agarrarte desprevenido, sino que también puede ADIVINAR TUS MOVIMIENTOS en tiempo real, era imposible de vencer o bueno, realmente no imposible, pero sí exageradamente improbable.

Hideo Kojima fue el encargado de diseñar este jefe y resulta que él le colocó una debilidad que solo alguna personas desesperada podría haber encontrado; para vencer a Psycho Mantis, antes de comenzar a pelear contra él, tenías que desconectar el control del PS1 del puerto de Player 1 y conectarlo en el puerto del Player 2, ya que, de lo contrario, este jefe poseía una IA extraña que podía leer tu Memory Card y saber qué armamento tenías, qué tipo de jugador eres y demás para poder esquivar todos tus movimientos.

Vencerlo fue un dolor de cabeza y debo admitir que tuve que buscar en internet una guía para ello porque nunca pude descubrir el método para vencer a Psycho Mantis por mi cuenta, simplemente legendario.

This is undoubtedly one of the best boss fights I've experienced in my entire existence, not only because the villain is in charge of trying to hurt you with psychic powers, besides the fact that he uses the girl you like to shoot you or try to shoot herself to use her as bait and catch you off guard, but he can also GUESS YOUR MOVEMENTS in real time, it was impossible to beat or well, not really impossible, but exaggeratedly improbable.

Hideo Kojima was in charge of designing this boss and it turns out that he put a weakness that only some desperate people could have found; to beat Psycho Mantis, before starting to fight him, you had to disconnect the PS1 controller from the Player 1 port and connect it to the Player 2 port, because, otherwise, this boss had a strange AI that could read your Memory Card and know what weapons you had, what kind of player you are and so on in order to dodge all your moves.

Beating him was a headache and I must admit I had to search the internet for a guide for it because I could never figure out the method to beat Psycho Mantis on my own, simply legendary.

La cantidad de veces que yo grité de rabia al no poder pasar esta pelea fue simplemente absurda; <em><strong>Punch Out</strong></em> es un juego súper retro que trataba de ganar peleas de boxeo, ni más, ni menos, sin embargo, a medida que ibas avanzando en el modo historia, te tocaban rivales cada vez más difíciles, aunque los retos no eran tan descabellados hasta que llegabas a esta pelea.

<em><strong>Myke Tyson</strong></em> es una leyenda del boxeo en la vida real y en este juego lo que te hacía este jefe era simplemente absurdo; si dejabas que te golpeara con su Uppercut, terminabas en el suelo de forma instantánea, mientras que tus golpes le iban quitando unos pedazos muy pequeños de su barra de vida, era simplemente el jefe perfecto para ser injusto y hacer de tu experiencia de juego un infierno total.

Para vencerlo, tenías que ser demasiado milimétrico al esquivar su patrón de golpes y eso solo se lograba peleando con él muchísimas veces, no existía otra manera, luego de tener los sentidos bien concentrados en el juego, podías ganar, pero no podías ni parpadear porque al mínimo descuido, KO.

The amount of times I screamed with rage at not being able to pass this fight was simply absurd; <em><strong>Punch Out</strong></em> is a super retro game that tried to win boxing fights, no more, no less, however, as you progressed through the story mode, you got increasingly difficult opponents, although the challenges were not so crazy until you got to this fight.

<em><strong>Myke Tyson</strong></em> is a real-life boxing legend and in this game what this boss did to you was simply absurd; if you let him hit you with his Uppercut, you ended up on the ground instantly, while your punches were taking away very small pieces of his life bar, it was just the perfect boss to be unfair and make your gaming experience a total hell.

To beat him, you had to be too millimetric to dodge his pattern of hits and that could only be achieved by fighting him many times, there was no other way, after having your senses well focused on the game, you could win, but you could not even blink because at the slightest oversight, KO.

Pude haberme extendido mucho más porque realmente siento que en el mundo de los videojuegos siempre existirán esos jefes finales que nos van a volver locos de alguna forma y harán que estemos a punto de lanzar el control contra la pantalla de nuestro televisor.
