Plant Based Diets

Today i wanted to write about plant based diets: I don't believe we should live completely plant based. Humans are omnivores, and I believe we should stay omnivores (yes I know, in the future we'll probably be able to grow meat in a laboratory). The problem is that presently we are consuming way too much meat and we should eat less of it plus, the way animals are treated in some places is just horrible (Currently I'm vegetarian but I don't plan on staying vegetarian forever). On the other hand, as I mentioned we'll probably be able to grow meat in a lab which would make sure we're still able to eat "realistic" meat without actually killing animals. But in my opinion, this is just a bit insane. Killing animals for food is a part of nature (although I wouldn't slaughter them myself, is probably because we aren't used to it) and we should continue doing it in moderation. That brings me to another point: apart from consuming too much meat, we are also wasting so much of it! Sometimes it's just amazing (in a bad way) how much food is being wasted.
In other words, I believe we should stay omnivores under the following circumstances:
We should stop wasting food and we should monitor the amount of meat we're eating and keep it under a limit which will be good for our health and good for environment too.
We should treat animals better and make sure we don't put them in factories stuffed together.
