Hello and welcome to all the readers. 

Today in 'back to basics' we explore Lead Magnets

#### Lead magnets

A lead magnet is an incentive given to the prospects, in exchange for their email address in a Lead capture page.

A lead magnet can be 
a guide
a report
checklists
video recordings
case study
email course
ebooks 
free software etc

In short, lead magnets are marketing resources or baits to attract prospects to join the list.

To be effective, you should first identify the niche you want to target and create or acquire lead magnets providing solutions or information for that niche.

It doesn't make sense to give an ebook on crypto currency to a list targeting home builders.

##### Examples:

- Sample lead capture page, offering an email course

They say, Lead Magnets are things of the past. They don't work as effectively as it use it.
I don't agree, as long as the lead magnet is really good, the prospects/viewers will give away their details.

Nowadays, Funnels are used instead of lead magnets. 
Well that's a different topic for another day.

No worries though. Click Funnels makes more sense.
