hay una narración donde se nos cuentan varios relatos de personas que estuvieron a punto de morir o incluso que murieron y pudieron sentir cosas, percibir más de lo que alguien esperaría y ahí empieza nuestra historia, en un camino con dos chicas, aparentemente dos hermanas las cuales van plácidamente escuchando música por el camino y la mayor de ellas que va manejando se distrae percatandose al poco tiempo de impactar con un obstáculo que estaba atravesado en un puente del camino, ya que le estaban haciendo algún tipo de mantenimiento a este; al esquivar el obstáculo se salen de la carretera y caen en el río, el carro comienza a hundirse, uno de los trabajadores del puente se lanza en su rescata y logra sacar a la hermana mayor y la hermana menor, muere.

5 años han pasado, y vemos a esta misma chica atendiendo en un hospital a una paciente bastante ida que le hace una pregunta que ella no responde antes de ser llevada de ahí, esta que conocíamos de antes se llama Courtney, es una pasante en este hospital; poco después llega un paciente de emergencia y es atendido por Marlo, una pasante igual que diagnostica a este paciente mientras entra Ray quien es otro pasante que diagnostica y da órdenes al respecto de este mismo paciente, contradiciendo lo que dice Marlo, mientras discuten el paciente se descompensa y la residente entra sacándolos de la sala y haciéndose cargo ella misma.

En la noche vemos a courtney estudiando en la biblioteca (esta gente de verdad se esfuerza) y divisa a una chica que se llama Sophia, que es otra pasante, llorando, Courtney se le acerca calmandola ya que Sophia está angustiada por no poder retener más terminología y cree fracasar en los exámenes siguientes, super abrumada le cuenta que su madre gastó los ahorros de su vida para que ella pueda estudiar medicina; Se van de ahi porque ya ha sido mucho sufrimiento por hoy y courtney la invita a un experimento que desea hacer ya que ellas eran bastante cercanas antes pero debido a la competitividad se distanciaron.

>In the evening we see courtney studying in the library (these people really try hard) and she spots a girl named Sophia, who is another intern, crying, Courtney approaches her calming her down as Sophia is distraught that she can't retain any more terminology and thinks she will fail her next exams, super overwhelmed she tells her that her mother spent her life savings so she can study medicine; They leave there because it's been too much suffering for today and courtney invites her to an experiment she wants to do as they were quite close before but due to competitiveness they drifted apart.


A la mañana siguiente fuera del centro, Ray saluda al último pasante que hasta ahora conocemos, llamado Jamie, es un tipo que aparentemente le gustan un poco las fiestas, los estupefacientes y las chicas, hablan un poco si están preparados para la prueba siguiente y pasan. Dentro, estamos en una oficina donde se encuentran algunos enfermeros, el director dictando una especie de examen y los pasantes, todos muy despistados en esta prueba son reprendidos por el director, ya que no buscan estudiantes que se esfuercen lo suficiente siquiera, quieren lo mejor de lo mejor, están ahí para ser el residente (así que todos ellos en cierto modo están compitiendo), así que sin más remedio se van de malas de esa oficina.

>The next morning outside the center, Ray greets the last intern we know so far, named Jamie, is a guy who apparently likes a little partying, narcotics and girls, they talk a little if they are ready for the next test and pass. Inside, we are in an office where there are some nurses, the director dictating some sort of test and the interns, all very clueless in this test are reprimanded by the director, as they are not looking for students who are even trying hard enough, they want the best of the best, they are there to be the resident (so they are all in a way competing), so with no choice they leave that office in a bad way.

Todos están en sus cubículos haciendo sus ensayos (o cosas que hagan los médicos en computadoras) y les avisan que no hay tiempo de nada, ni de comer, todas las camas están llenas y hay mucho trabajo, así que todos bien malhumorados van a hacer su trabajo.

>They are all in their cubicles doing their tests (or whatever the doctors do on computers) and they are told that there is no time for anything, not even to eat, all the beds are full and there is a lot of work, so they all go to do their work in a bad mood.

Mucho tiempo después (aunque específicamente es la escena siguiente), estamos en el comedor cuando Courtney se le acerca a Jamie y le insinúa que lo quiere ver en la noche a ayudarle con un trabajo, en el sótano de las instalaciones, jamie extrañado por semejante propuesta indecente proveniente de su colega se queda perplejo y acepta sin lugar a dudas.

>Much later (although it is specifically the following scene), we are in the dining room when Courtney approaches Jamie and insinuates that she wants to see him at night to help him with a job in the basement of the facility, Jamie, surprised by such an indecent proposal from his colleague, is perplexed and accepts without hesitation.

Llegada a la media noche Sophia se encuentra bajando por el ascensor de servicio hacia el sótano por la invitación que le hizo Courtney, abajo se encuentra con ella bastante molesta porque es muy tarde e igual Sophia está molesta porque ya es muy tarde y debería estar estudiando (de verdad le dan con todo a los estudios); Ahi Courtneyle explica que están en nivel del hospital preparado para un apagón o algún desastre, es otro hospital totalmente completo pero que no se usa, entran a una sala de resonancia cuando oportunamente entra Jamie, con un regalo y una botella de vino (un galán), Sophia queda como extraña porque no se explica que hace Jamie ahi tambien con esos objetos, pero courtney solo dice que mal entendio la invitacion y explica lo que realmente quiere hacer. 

>At midnight Sophia is going down the service elevator to the basement because of Courtney's invitation, downstairs she is quite upset because it is very late and Sophia is also upset because it is very late and she should be studying (they really give everything to the studies); Courtneyle explains that they are at the level of the hospital prepared for a blackout or some disaster, it is another hospital completely complete but not used, they enter an MRI room when Jamie enters, with a gift and a bottle of wine (a beau), Sophia is like strange because she does not explain what Jamie is doing there too with those objects, but Courtney just says that she misunderstood the invitation and explains what he really wants to do.

No mentire con este film, al principio esta bastante bueno y bien basado, creo yo, porque tampoco soy doctor, pero luego toma unas riendas bastantes extrañas, y aunque la premisa llama mucho la atención y todo el concepto, no es lo que uno termina esperando, no conserva muy bien el suspenso o tal vez fue que no le preste la atención que debería o tiene un sentido que no logro ver, no es la primera vez que la veo y aun asi, no le llego bien a que es. Desde mi punto de vista, no la recomiendo, me pareció bastante cansada porque aparte dura casi 2 horas y no se, me pareciera que gran parte es relleno.

>I won't lie with this film, at the beginning it's pretty good and well based, I think, because I'm not a doctor either, but then it takes some pretty strange reins, and although the premise draws a lot of attention and the whole concept, it's not what you end up expecting, it doesn't keep the suspense very well or maybe I didn't pay enough attention to it or it has a sense that I can't see, it's not the first time I see it and even so, I don't get to know what it is. From my point of view, I do not recommend it, I found it quite tiring because it lasts almost 2 hours and I do not know, it seems to me that much of it is filler.
