 I haven't posted many photos of our van since starting up this account, but here it is in all it's glory! The van is a 1995 Dodge Ram PleasureWay that we have named Ramwell Tarly (the true King in The North!), or Rammie for short. We bought Rammie in Whitehorse, YT in 2017, only a few months after we arrived in Canada from Australia. We flew to Whitehorse from Vancouver, bought the van, and spent a month driving back to Vancouver via Prince George โand The Rocky Mountains. We were actually pretty lucky as only a couple days after we left Whitehorse the Alaska Highway, the major highway between the Yukon and British Columbia, was closed due to extreme snow conditions. Since buying Rammie we have been on dozens on adventures, including trips to Seattle and Portland, the BC and Alberta Rockies, many of the BC Islands, BC wine country etc, and there are many many more to come. We've also had our fair share of breakdowns, including being towed back to Canada from Seattle (that was a debacle!), which is to be expected with such an old vehicle. But the hard times are definitely outweighed by the fun times. Thanks for the question. We usually park and camp at recreation sites, provincial parks or other campgrounds. If we're in a city most Costcos will let you stay a night in the carpark too. So far, taking into account maintenance, fuel costs and camping fees etc, it still costs less than what we were paying for rent in Vancouver.

Cool I think one of the reason people are not fully moving to a van or a movable accommodation id because they think they have to shed extra money to have that lifestyle. But as you summed up it's actually an option you can go with.
