Things you pets are allowed to do - where is your limit?:)

<p>As many of you already know I have a dog, Astro. And my love to her is boundless, there's almost no chance for her to make me angry.</p>

<p><em>(decided to use my nifler drawing as an illustration for this post, after all, he also was allowed to do lots of pranks without detention:)&nbsp;</em></p>
<p>Of course she sleeps in my bed. Even of my pillow. And for me it'm more then completely OK, it will be hard for me to fall asleep if she doesn't. She always is the first one to receive fresh cottage cheese if I bring some, and if I have suspicion that something is wrong with her health I will take her to the vet no matter what time it is and how busy I am.&nbsp;</p>

<p>She's allowed to spoil something in my home, with no detention again. Well, of course I will say loudly <strong>"WHOOOOO DID THIS?"</strong>, but never to angry.&nbsp;</p>
<p>I was thinking about the limits for my dog's behavior after yesterday I <a href="https://steemit.com/blog/@inber/vlog-with-my-dog-something-funny-for-this-evening-we-always-fight-for-my-cloth">posted a video with her playing with my skir</a>t. And a lot of steemians said that they are the same with their dogs:)</p>
<p>When guests come to my home I never lock my dog in another room. More then that, if someone is unpleased with her - I will gladly lock that person in another room instead of my dog. Or better outside my house and ask to never come again. She is a member of family, and she lives here. This is her home too.</p>

<p>Our limits start where threat to her life appears. For example as a puppy she made one single attempt to chew the wires. And my husband said only about three words at that moment (he caught her on hot), but there were such loud words, and with such intonation that even I feared to touch the wires again lol:)</p>
<p>The same was with the situation when she tried to eat something outside. Found some kind of food in the bushes. Our country is barbaric, a lot of people throw poison everywhere. So in that situation I did everything I could so that such behavior would never repeat.&nbsp;</p>
<p>But everything that is not dangerous - she's allowed to do. And what limits does your pet have?</p>

Haha, I've had this feeling many times with visitors. My dog > Visitors.

This is exactly how I believe any and all pet owners should feel. If you don't treat them as part of your family, then you are doing something wrong.

Now.. do you treat them exactly like a human child? Some people do. (Some even treat their pets BETTER than ANY Humans! :D ) It's all personal preference.

As long as you are giving your pet(s) a life that they enjoy, and is healthy for them, you're doing the right thing. Boundaries should be set to prevent your pets from harm.

PS- I love dogs :)

I don't have kids, and I'm not sure I'll ever will, so... She gets all my attention. And treating her better then any humans - well, she never hurt me physically. She never says me rude things. She never does anything people can do, she has a clean soul, and I have a lot to learn from her. And plus animals, most of them, are defenseless in front of human cruelty. And if I want to know if a person is a human, or just a biological mass I look how he/she behaves with animals and kids. A person can like or not like them, but if one thinks that he's allowed to hurt them - I don't think about him as about a human anymore.

My dog passed away unfortunately, but he used to sleep in my bed. Or rather, I used to sleep in his bed, as he used to go to sleep earlier than me and it was quite a delicate operation slipping in bed without disturbing his sleep!

It's her size.  My Cav was the same (spoilt rotten by previous owners because he is SO FREAKING CUTE).  Then he came to ours XD The friend that rehomed him with us (the dog belonged to their relatives) thinks he's doing a lot better now as he's in better shape.  I sometimes wonder if he misses his former life as he doesn't get to do as he pleases here and get away with it, however having said that I do often "not see him" on the couch or the kids beds XD

Not only size:) When I was a teen we had two labradors, me and my mom. Now they still are with her in her house, both about 14 years old. And the policy was the same,  we were completely OK with having them as a neighbors in bed (one dog for each).

Basically the dog runs the household and has more outfits than me. If she tries to break into the food container, that is a serious offense that will get her a time out in the crate. Other than that I am the dogs imp.
