Twin Islet is located north of Malapascua Island, just a few kilometers from Lapus-Lapus Island. This was our last diving stop during that day. But these two islets were already out in the open sea and so waves were getting bigger by the time we arrive here. Well, @ybanezkim26 always went in the water first as I insisted. As he assured me that the depth was manageable, I then followed suit.

At first, there was nothing to be seen, just a few corals here and there. I managed to reach the ocean floor but nothing impressive was to be admired. Initially, I got disappointed but then we started to follow the direction of the waves towards the direction of one of the twin islands as instructed by our boatman. By then, my disappointment slowly drifted away as we were able to finally see more of the marine life as we were nearing the island. 

The marine life from this side was ~~different~~ unique and mysterious. There were these *singular "worm-like" shaped marine life* sticking out from the corals (@juanbg perhaps you might know what these are called? πŸ˜…) Besides that, the corals were a miniature version of what I'm used to seeing in Moalboal. But they filled the ocean floor around the islet. There were parts under the sea where the current was just so strong that I got scared I might be swept away but *Laban lang*!

*Update: These worm-like creatures are called **SPONGES**! Thanks to @juanbg! According to seasky.org, "Though extremely plant-like in appearance, sponges are actually one of the most primitive animals in the sea. They belong to a group called porifera."* Yay, learned something new!

The corals were healthy, there was plenty of fish and miniature valleys of corals! Who wouldn't want to take their time here? Even though @ybanezkim26 and another friend were done freediving, I couldn't stop and take videos of what we saw there. To be honest, I wouldn't want to get out of that place soon! 

Twin Islet is a must-visit place if you decide to explore the underwater world in Mapalascua! For now, enjoy this video!
